Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 8, 19, 23 and 28. Jackpot of €4,000 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Eddie Coyle c/o Dermot Coyle; Majella Treanor c/o Monica Connolly; Úna Forde c/o ClubZap; and Lailah McKenna c/o Maria McKenna. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Joe Finlay. Jackpot for Sunday, April 18 is €4,100. The club is asking members willing and financially able to contribute through our lotto towards club maintenance and running expenses. This can be done by two options: set up a standing order to our club lotto via quarterly or annual payments or using our new club app by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone, registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member and buying club lotto in bulk or on a weekly basis. Anyone interested can contact either Rose Donnelly (086 0825782); Maria McKenna (086 1057725) or Adrian Dalton (087 7859582). Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday, while physical tickets should be with the lotto committee by 9pm.

Juvenile Training: With Government guidelines finally easing, juvenile training is set to return in pods of 15 on Monday week, April 26, initially on a non-contact basis. We look forward to the return of training for our club teams. In the meantime, our club grounds remain closed. Thanks to everyone involved.

Sympathy: The club sends sincere sympathy to Ryan and Veronica O'Neill and family on the death of Ryan's mother, Margaret. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Registration: Registration fees for 2021 can now be paid via ClubZap. When you open the app, select 'my club' and 'membership' to pay your membership in seconds. Fees are as follows: U-11s €20; juveniles/seniors €30; family membership €60. You can also renew your membership by contacting club registrar Kevin Treanor (087 6496994) or treasurer Rose Donnelly (086 0825782). Please note that all juvenile and adult players must be paid-up members. With fundraising remaining limited, your support is greatly appreciated during these times.

National Club Draw: The 2021 National Club Draw has been postponed until June to enable clubs to sell tickets when public health restrictions are lifted. Prizes include €2,000 cash and All-Ireland Hurling & Football Final packages. For anyone who has already sold a book of tickets, please drop them into the letterbox at our clubhouse and contact Rose Donnelly. As fundraising opportunities remain limited, your support is greatly appreciated.

Referee recruitment: Monaghan GAA recently launched an appeal for new referees. It is proposed that the basic Level 1 course be delivered as follows: two modules online and two in classroom form when circumstances allow. Please contact any committee member if you are interested in getting involved.

Get Ready to Play Programme: The GAA Get Ready to Play Programme is a Coaching and Sport Science programme being delivered via webinars, website programmes, instructional videos and live sessions. This is a holistic programme supporting players and coaches during their return to training post Covid and in the build up to playing games again with an aim to educate coaches and players by providing an evidence-informed programme. This will hopefully result in increased enjoyment, performance, participation and a reduction in the risk of injury. See links on our social media accounts.

Cumann Cláirsigh Mhuineacháin – Here To Help: We continue to be aware of the disruption caused by Covid-19, particularly to the elderly and vulnerable members of our community. The health and wellbeing of all our community is extremely important to us in Monaghan Harps GAA‏. See our club's social media accounts for useful contact numbers and some tips to mind your physical and mental health.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.

Hurling:

Online Fundraiser: We held our online raffle live on social media on Sunday evening. The lucky winners of the prizes were Marie Lowry (1st prize), Rose Donnelly (2nd prize) and Katie Beggan (3rd prize). We want to say a massive thank you to all those who purchased tickets! The video of the draw can be viewed on our social media pages.

Sponsor Spotlight: In what has been a busy week for the club, we were also lucky enough to have a new sponsor come on board. 'Conor Engineering' (check out their Instagram and FB page for all your agricultural and farm machinery needs) have kindly sponsored a range of equipment for our juvenile club. Thank you, Conor!
