Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 8, 10, 23 and 27. Jackpot of €3,500 not won. This week's four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Hugh McKenna c/o Maria McKenna; Séamus Trappe c/o ClubZap; Brian Lenehan c/o ClubZap; and Adrian Durcan c/o ClubZap. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Maria McKenna. Jackpot for Sunday, August 13 is €3,600. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club and is funding our current development works. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

 

IFC: We have a bye for the first round of the Intermediate Football Championship. Our our first Group Two game is at home to Doohamlet on Sunday week, August 20.

 

Summer camp: Our own in-house summer camp is set to return this year from August 21-25. The camp will run from 10am-2pm daily and is suitable for boys and girls aged 6-12 years. If you are interested in registering your child please fill out the form on our social media. Spaces are limited so payment is needed to secure a place. Payment can be made at training on Saturday mornings.

 

Reserves: We are away to Scotstown in the last round of the RFL Division 3B this Saturday at 7pm. Good luck to all involved.

 

U-17: In another tight finish last Thursday, our U-17 Division One team held on to edge out Carrickmacross. Goals by Dara Mullin and John McCrystal had our lads 2-3 to 0-6 up at half-time. It remained tight until the end, with our lads earning the win on a scoreline of 2-6 to 0-11.

Good luck to our Division Four team in their league final against Scotstown, which will be played in Smithborough this Saturday at 12.30pm.

 

U-15: Our U-15s will be in Division Two of the championship, which is due to start next week.

 

U-13: Our U-13 Division One team hosted Magheracloone in the second round of their championship group stage last Saturday. Despite being short a few players on the day, our lads competed well with a Magheracloone team who had reached the league final, but the visitors eventually pulled away in the closing stages.

Our Division Five lads fell just short away to Aughnamullen on Sunday morning. The group stages conclude on the weekend of August 19/20.

 

Sympathy: At the club's last two monthly meetings, our committee passed votes of sympathy to the families of Tony Swift, Alice Reilly, Eddie Scott, Brian Toal, Dónal Deeney and Pat Duffy. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.

 

Saturday-morning coaching: Our juvenile Gaelic football coaching for 4-9-year-olds continues each Saturday morning from 10-11am. Thanks to everyone involved.

 

Registration: Thanks to everyone who has renewed their membership for 2023. We ask all playing members and parents of juveniles to check if they have paid their fees for this season.

 

High-vis jackets: We ask club members to please check if they have any of the high-vis jackets with Monaghan Harps on the back and to please return them to the club. GRMA.

 

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club.
