IFC: We lost a low-scoring IFC Group Two game at home to Castleblayney last Saturday. Points by Michael Galligan and Dean Doherty kept us in touch in the first half, but we trailed by 0-7 to 0-4 at the interval. Conor McCrystal, Dylan McKenna and Michael were on target during the second half, but Blayney held on to win by 0-10 to 0-8. Our penultimate group game is away to Carrickmacross on Sunday week, September 8.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Shane Moran, Jake McConnon, Gary Devlin; Kevin Moran, Aodhán Óg McAnespie, Kevin Loughran; Lochlainn Power, Dylan McKenna (0-1); Oisín Fagan, Conor McCrystal (Capt., 0-2), Senan Cudden; Dean Doherty (0-1); Michael Galligan (0-4f), Luke McManus.

Subs used: Seán Callan; Neil McAdam; Tiarnán O'Rourke; Thomas Croarkin.

Minors: Our minor Division One team fell short in their first championship game away to Scotstown on Monday. After an even start, a couple of black cards proved costly as Scotstown went on to hit two goals to lead by 2-6 to 0-5 at half-time. John McCrystal netted a penalty after the restart as our lads put the pressure on, but Scotstown pulled away again during the final quarter. Round two of the group stage is at home to Carrickmacross on Saturday week, September 7.
