Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 4, 7, 12 and 23. Jackpot of €4,500 not won. This week's four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Conor McGinn c/o Neill McGinn; Ursula Tracey c/o Paudge Connolly; Terry Gilsenan c/o Ann Treanor; and Mary Macklin c/o Maria McKenna. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Dermot Coyle. Jackpot for Sunday, August 11 is €4,600. Thanks to everyone for your continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club and is funding our ongoing development works. IFL: We are away to Truagh this Sunday at 5pm in our first game in Group Two of the McElvaney Recycling Intermediate Football Championship. Good luck to all involved. All support welcome.

 

Summer Camp: Our club summer camp returns next week from Monday to Friday, August 12 to 16. We are looking forward to a fun-filled week. Please fill out the expression of interest form via our social media if you have kids who would like to attend. As there are only limited places available, form completion does not guarantee a place. Payment secures places and can be made at juvenile training this Saturday morning.

Minors: Our minor Division One team await the start of their championship campaign later this month.

 

U-16: Our U-16s lost out at home to Éire Óg last Thursday. After trailing by 1-9 to 0-8 at half-time, we moved ahead with goals by Kyle Lavery and Josh Cassidy early in the second half, but Éire Óg turned it around again with a couple of late goals. We are away to Killanny next Thursday (August 22).

U-14: Our U-14 Division One team exited the championship despite a competitive performance at home to Donaghmoyne last Saturday. After a tough start, our lads battled back into the game with scores from Cillian McKenna, Daithí Graham, Gabriel Cunningham, Kyron Coughlan, Calum McCaffrey and Conall McGinnity, but Donaghmoyne pulled away in the closing stages to finish top of the group.

Our Division 5B team lost out in a high-scoring encounter in Clontibret on Saturday, but the Division 5A lads stayed in contention with an exciting win at home to Aughnamullen on Sunday.

U-12: Well done to our U-12s in Tuesday's double-header wins against Carrickmacross. There are two away games on Saturday in Castleblayney and Toome, while the Division Four lads host Carrick on Sunday.

 

Juvenile coaching: Thanks to everyone involved in our Saturday-morning football coaching. Training continues every Saturday at 10am in Gavan Duffy. To register a new or existing player, please log on to the Foireann app or www.foireann.ie.
