AGM: We held our AGM in the clubhouse on Thursday, December 2. This was our first collective in-person club meeting for some time; thanks to everyone who attended and followed all Covid-19 protocols. Club Chairman Jimmy Croarkin and Secretary Nicola Shalvey gave comprehensive reports on what has been a challenging year, where our entire club joined together to say a sad goodbye to our senior footballer Brendan Óg Ó Dufaigh in July. Some of Ógie's many achievements on the pitch were listed on the night as we reflected on the last couple of years. Rose Donnelly presented the financial report, while other reports included hurling (Adrian Dalton); handball (Eugene McGinnity); ladies' football (Frank Burke); culture (Joe Ó Gallchóir); Coaching (Pádraig Callan); juveniles (Adrian Gunn); and clubhouse (Paudge Connolly). We paid our respects on the night to the club members and family members who have passed away in the last 12 months and we especially keep the Ó Dufaigh family in our thoughts. The following committee was elected for 2022: Chairperson: Jimmy Croarkin: Vice-Chair: Damien Morgan; Secretary: Nicola Shalvey; Assistant Secretary: Lorcan McAdam; Treasurer: Rose Donnelly; Youth Officer: Pádraig Callan; Coaching Officers: Pádraig Callan and Paddy Kelly; Healthy Club Officer: Úna Forde: Development Officers: Peter Coyle and Ciarán Cuddy; County Board Delegate: Fergus Coyle. The roles of Children's Officer and Cultural Officer were deferred until the first meeting of the new committee. Thanks to our club officers for their efforts in keeping things going during a difficult two years. We look forward to brighter days in 2022.
Juvenile AGM: The postponed EGM of the juvenile committee will now be held after Christmas. A rescheduled date will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
