Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 12, 27, 28 and 29. Jackpot of €2,400 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Marian O'Brien c/o Matt McCaughey; Joe Finlay c/o himself; Yvonne Deery c/o ClubZap; and Peter Richardson c/o ClubZap. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Maria McKenna. Jackpot for Sunday, December 20 is €2,500. The club is asking members willing and financially able to contribute through our lotto towards club maintenance and running expenses. This can be done by two options: set up a standing order to our club lotto via quarterly or annual payments or using our new club app by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone, registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member and buying club lotto in bulk or on a weekly basis. Anyone interested can contact either Rose Donnelly (086 0825782); Maria McKenna (086 1057725) or Adrian Dalton (087 7859582). Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club, particularly this year. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday, while physical tickets should be with the lotto committee by 9pm. Please note that this week's lotto will be our last one of 2020, with the next draw taking place on January 3, 2021.

Juveniles: As we did not get to finish out our Saturday-morning coaching in our traditional way, we have decided to hold a Christmas-themed training session this Saturday from 10-11.30am. We ask children to wear a Santa hat or Christmas jumper and bring a small donation for a local charity. It will be necessary to complete GAA return-to-play verification and sign-in for contract tracing on arrival. Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday at 10am.

Awards: Congratulations to six of our players (Aodhán Óg McAnespie, Kevin Loughran, Brendan Óg Ó Dufaigh, Neil McAdam, Conor Galligan and Éimhín Morahan) on being presented with their 2020 Monaghan GAA IFC All-Star awards last week! This is great recognition for their performances and the team's efforts in a successful championship run.

Volunteer recognition scheme: Monaghan Harps are delighted to announce Úna Forde as our Monaghan GAA volunteer recognition and appreciation scheme recipient for 2020. Úna has taken on various official roles within the club from Juvenile Secretary to her current position as Healthy Club Officer, from Scór participant to manning the shop on match days, to supporting our lotto and various fundraisers. Very little happens in Monaghan Harps that Úna is not involved in. Her most noted role as co-ordinator of our Saturday-morning coaching has seen her welcome our youngest members to the club and Úna is perfect for this, as her friendly approach leaves children and parents at ease. Úna knows every member of the club and is highly regarded by all. It is clear to see the respect that our players and members have for her and she is one of the first people you turn to for help. Her knowledge and expertise, especially from a health and wellbeing perspective, is endless and she has organised many events, from the 'GAA Lights Up' walks to talks on mental health for players and parents. 2019 also saw Úna facilitate a stress-control programme. Úna has recently been on the club's steering committee through Covid-19 and she has ensured that all guidelines introduced were implemented and adhered to. Her clear and calm approach helped us keep all members and supporters safe. We would also like to congratulate Adrian Dalton on his nomination by the Harps Hurling Club. Adrian has been a very progressive Chairman for the Hurling Club in recent years and his efforts with helping us bring the Harps Lotto online and set us up on ClubZap has been beneficial to our entire club.

County: Good luck to Daragh Croarkin, Nathan Lavery, Tiarnán O'Rourke and the county minors in their Ulster MFC game away to Antrim this Sunday. The game will be played behind closed doors, but a live stream will be available to purchase via pairctv.com.

Christmas cards: Our own Noel Hennessy is currently selling Christmas cards on behalf of a worthy cause, the County Monaghan branch of MS Ireland. A pack of ten assorted cards costs €5. Noel can be contacted at 086 8258411.

Level 3: We ask club members to continue to observe the guidelines and to stay in touch with neighbours who may require assistance during these darker days in the run-up to Christmas.

National Club Draw: Tickets for the 2021 National Club Draw will be available soon. Prizes include a car and All-Ireland tickets, while prizes are also up for grabs for clubs.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.

Hurling: Adrian Dalton, our current chairperson, was named as our volunteer of the year. Adrian has contributed massively to the progress of our club over the last number of years. Adrian is always looking towards the future and how to best develop the club further. This award is recognition of Adrian's incredible efforts and how much we appreciate his presence in our club. Míle buíochas!
