Charity match: Our charity match makes a welcome return on New Year's Day at 3pm. Sponsorship cards are available from Mary White, Owen Connell, Terry's Bar and our clubhouse. We look forward to seeing everyone again at our first charity match since December 2019! Bígí linn!

Seniors: At our last executive meeting, the club ratified Paul Coney and Brian Lavery to our senior football management for 2023. We thank our outgoing management team for their efforts and wish everyone involved in the upcoming season the best of luck.

Coaching workshop: Our Coaching Committee have organised a follow-up workshop on creating a club culture on Monday, January 2 from 5pm to 7pm in our clubhouse. This is an important exercise for our players born between 2006 and 2010 and we would appreciate a good turnout.

Lotto: Our December 18 Lotto was our last draw of 2022. We start 2023 with a jackpot of €4,800. Thanks to everyone for continuing to support our Lotto and to the committee and the regular helpers for their efforts in keeping the show on the road and providing essential funding towards our development work.

Junior Disco: A massive thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas disco at the Harps. A huge 'míle buíochas' to everyone who helped out on the night also. We look forward to seeing you all in 2023!

Bag pack: The club undertook a fundraising bag-pack on Friday, December 23 in Fleming's SuperValu. Thanks so much to everyone who helped out and GRMA to Fleming's for facilitating us.

Coaching: We are currently seeking expressions of interest in coaching our juveniles for 2023, at both competitive and non-competitive age groups. Upskilling and training will be offered to new coaches as required. Please send on any interest you may have to coach/assist next year and with what age-group to our Coaching Officer Paddy Kelly (087 0654103).

Sympathy: Cumann Cláirsigh Mhuineacháin CLG would like to express our sincere sympathy to Emyvale GAA and the Donnelly family on the death of Marion. A long-serving officer of Monaghan County Board, Marion helped guide us through the application process for our Croke Park loan, which we were very appreciative of. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Every Step Counts: Our Healthy Club Officer Úna Forde has registered the club for the GAA/Irish Life Every Step Counts challenge, which runs from January 11 until February 15. Clubs who reach the target of walking a combined total of 4,000 km in that time – the equivalent of walking around the coastline of Ireland – will be entered into a draw to win O'Neill's vouchers. To take part, download the My Life app, register your details, tap on the social tab within the app and select your club. Family and friends can join in too.

Pitch development: Our development continues to move along steadily. Many thanks to everyone who contributes to our lotto on a weekly basis, which has made this possible. To develop our pitches, access and look at floodlit facilities for the future, please help our club's growth financially through buying the lotto each week on the ClubZap app or from our many sellers.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.
