Jackpot for Sunday, February 19 is €1,100. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

Ireland Lights Up: Our Ireland Lights Up walks conclude for 2023 with week seven next Wednesday at the usual time of 7.30pm. Thanks to our regular attendees and organisers. GRMA to Gregory from Ward's Pharmacy, Market Street, for the generous donation of a large quantity of high-vis jackets. Our club featured on last week's episode of Operation Transformation on RTÉ and it was great to see so many familiar faces on our screens. Well done to Fergus Coyle, Úna Forde and in particular to Seán McKenna and family for telling his story and portraying the club in a very positive way. Lean ar aghaidh leis an obair mhaith!

Registration: Thanks to everyone who has renewed their membership for 2023 so far: your continued support is appreciated. GRMA to our registrar Kevin Treanor for his efforts. It is essential that all players are registered in advance of training commencing. Please avail of this opportunity to register for the year ahead. Míle buíochas.

Handball: Best wishes to Conor McDonnell as he takes up the role of President of the GAA Handball Association. Conor becomes only the fourth Ulster President in the association's 99-year history. Ádh mór air!

County: Well done to the county hurlers on their Allianz NHL win over Armagh last Saturday. Good luck to Kevin Loughran and the Monaghan senior footballers; Daragh Croarkin and the U-20s; and the county minor hurlers this weekend.

Coaching: Monaghan Coaching & Games Development have planned some very useful workshops over the month of March. See online for more details. There are also limited places remaining on Level 1 coaching courses in Cloghan over the next two weekends.

Club Draw: The GAA's National Club Draw is back for 2023, offering great prizes. We ask club members who have sold tickets or who would like to purchase some to return them to our treasurers Patrick Cunningham/Julie Brannigan as soon as possible. All proceeds go directly into the running of our club. Míle buíochas.

Scór: Any secondary-school boys or girls interested in representing our club in the county Scór na nÓg Table Quiz on March 10 can contact our Cultural Officer Jackie Reilly (0858588648). GRMA.

Seisiún ceoil: CCÉ Baile Mhuineacháin's new monthly session returns to our clubhouse on Sunday week, February 26, from 6.30pm. Fáilte roimh chách! Everyone welcome

Every Step Counts: Thanks to the club members who helped us once again pass the target of a combined total of 4,000 km in the GAA/Irish Life Every Step Counts challenge – the equivalent of walking around the coastline of Ireland – to be entered into a draw to win O'Neill's vouchers.

DIL: Darkness Into Light returns to Monaghan Town in the early hours of May 6. Registration will open next month.

safeTALK Training: Free training in suicide-prevention awareness next Thursday, February 23, 6.30-10.pm in Cloghan. For queries and/or further information please contact:

John McArdle (087 2508557) or chair.hwc.monaghan@gaa.ie.

Congratulations: To Scarlett Herron, who received her second consecutive Ulster LGFA PPS All-Star award at a banquet in Kelly's Inn recently.

Pitch development: Our development continues to move along steadily. Many thanks to everyone who contributes to our lotto on a weekly basis, which has made this possible. To develop our pitches, access and look at floodlit facilities for the future, please help our club's growth financially through buying the lotto each week on the ClubZap app or from our many sellers.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.
