Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 1, 26, 29 and 30. Jackpot of €1,100 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Gareth Treanor c/o ClubZap; Kay McQuaid c/o Sheila Treanor: Brendan McMahon c/o Séamus Treanor; and Monica Connolly c/o herself. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Paddy Donnelly. Jackpot for Sunday, February 26 is €1,200. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

 

Club leagues: The Intermediate Football League is due to start on Saturday, April 15. The Reserve Football Leagues are scheduled to get underway on the weekend of March 18/19.

 

Litter pick: Monaghan Harps Hurling Club invites the Monaghan Town community to join us for a clean-up of our local area this Saturday at 11am, starting at Gavan Duffy Park. Please wear a hi-vis. Pickers and gloves will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own.

 

Health and well-being activities: Monaghan Sports Partnership have kindly funded some additional health and well-being activities for the club. We will be hosting a range of activities over the next 4-6 weeks. Booking is essential as places are limited and some classes are already full. Pilates and Mindfulness are adult-only. Ireland Lights Up: Our Ireland Lights Up walks concluded for 2023 with week seven last night (Wednesday). Thanks to our regular attendees and organisers. As part of our enhanced health & well-being activities in conjunction with Monaghan Sports Partnership, we will continue our Walking Wednesday programme for the next six weeks. All welcome!

 

Registration: Thanks to everyone who has renewed their membership for 2023 so far: your continued support is appreciated. GRMA to our registrar Kevin Treanor for his efforts. County: Well done to the Monaghan senior footballers on their Allianz NFL win over Donegal last Sunday. Good luck to all county teams in action this weekend. 

 

Coaching: Monaghan Coaching & Games Development have planned some very useful workshops over the month of March. See online for more details. There are also limited places remaining on Level 1 coaching courses in Cloghan over the next two weekends.

Seisiún ceoil: CCÉ Baile Mhuineacháin's new monthly session returns to our clubhouse this Sunday evening, February 26: junior session: 6.30-7.15pm; senior session: 7.30-8.30pm. Fáilte roimh chách! Everyone welcome!

 

Every Step Counts: Thanks to the club members who helped us once again pass the target of a combined total of 4,000 km in the GAA/Irish Life Every Step Counts challenge to be entered into a draw to win O'Neill's vouchers.

 

DIL: Darkness Into Light returns to Monaghan Town in the early hours of May 6. Registration will open next month.
