IFL: We lost out away to Toome in the Intermediate Football League play-offs on Tuesday night. A slow start left us chasing a six-point deficit, but Neil McAdam, Kevin Moran, Gary Devlin, Gary White and Michael Galligan were on target as we found some form heading into half-time to close to within one at 1-4 to 0-6. It remained tight throughout the second half and although a brace of points from Luke McManus edged us ahead for the first time late on, Toome responded to kick the last three scores and win by 1-9 to 0-10.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Dean Doherty, Aodhán Óg McAnespie (Capt.), Gary Devlin (0-1); Nicholas Scott, Neil McAdam (0-2, 1f), Kevin Moran (0-1); Dylan McKenna, Tiarnán O'Rourke; Michael McMorrow, Seán Callan, Shane McMahon (0-1); Luke McManus (0-2), Gary White (0-1), Michael Galligan (0-2f).

Subs used: Thomas Croarkin; Terence McDonald.

The result sends us into another play-off against Seán McDermotts in Scotstown this Saturday at 7pm. All support appreciated!

Having trailed by 0-8 to 0-5 at half-time, we pushed on in the second half, with a brace of goals from Eoin O'Hanlon helping us secure the win on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-10. We are away to Inniskeen tomorrow night (Friday).

U-17: Our minor Division One team played out a low-scoring draw away to Emyvale in unseasonable conditions last Sunday. Points from John McCrystal, Dara Mullin and John Sherry had us a point up at half-time (0-5 to 1-1) of a game where the teams were never separated by more than one score. John added three points during the second half, while Orrin Doherty and Ethan McCaffrey also scored to leave our lads ahead late on, but Emyvale responded to level it up at 1-7 to 0-10. The Division One league continues with an away game against Killanny this Sunday. Before that, our Division Four team host Castleblayney in a league semi-final tomorrow night (Friday).
