Seniors: We had a hard-earned win away to Seán McDermotts in the Intermediate Football League last Friday night. An early goal by Michael Galligan got us off to a flying start and with Shea Swift and Éimhín Morahan also on target, we led throughout the first half, but a rally by the Seáns saw them close to within a point at half-time (1-7 to 1-6). Our lads were able to stay ahead of the home side throughout a keenly-contested second half, with scores by Tiarnán O'Rourke, Neil McAdam, Conor McCrystal, Luke McManus, Éimhín and Michael securing the win on a scoreline of 1-18 to 1-15. Our next IFL game is at home to Doohamlet on Friday week, June 10.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Jake McConnon, Aodhán Óg McAnespie (Capt.), Gary Devlin; Oisín Fagan, Kevin Loughran, Thomas Croarkin; Tiarnán O'Rourke (0-1), Neil McAdam (0-1, '45); Shea Swift (0-1), Conor McCrystal (0-2), Lochlainn Power; Michael Galligan (1-8, 0-2f), Éimhín Morahan (0-4, 2f), Luke McManus (0-1).

Reserves: We exited the O'Duffy Cup with a 1-13 to 1-8 loss away to Scotstown last Wednesday. Scores by Gary White, Shea Swift and Daragh Croarkin got us off to a good start, but after a long delay to the game for an injury to Conor Duffy, Scotstown settled back in better and pushed ahead. Gary converted a penalty late on, but Scotstown had done enough by then to secure a semi-final place. We wish Conor Duffy a speedy recovery from his injury.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin (0-3, 2f); Oisín Fagan, Liam Conway, Gary Devlin; Dean Doherty, Jake McConnon, Nathan Lavery; Tiarnán O'Rourke, Lochlainn Power; Shea Swift (0-1), Conor McCrystal, Conor Duffy; Luke McManus, Gary White (1-4, 1-0 pen, 0-2f), Niall Greenan (Capt.).

Subs used: Terence McDonald; Niall Hahessy; Jordan Crampton.

We were also knocked out of the McKeown Cup after a very high-scoring game at home to Donaghmoyne on Sunday. We were always playing catch-up in this one and the task became more challenging when we were reduced to 12 v 13 for most of the second half. We still managed to run up a score that would have won nearly any game, but Donaghmoyne's scoring power saw them through to the last four.

Team and scorers: Jason Allister; Gregory O'Connell, Michael McMorrow; Jordan Crampton (1-0), Conor Devlin, James Curley; James McKenny (0-1), Terence McDonald (1-0); Nathan O'Donoghue (1-2), Eoghan McGinnity (0-2f), Colm Shalvey (Capt., 0-2); Luke McManus (3-2), Shea Swift (1-2).

We then travelled to Donaghmoyne in the RFL Division 1A on Tuesday, where we were once again left chasing a big deficit after a very slow start. A spirited comeback saw goals by Evan Doherty and Niall Greenan bring us into the game, with Gary White, Liam Conway and Luke McManus also on the scoresheet as we turned it around to lead by 2-9 to 1-9 at half-time. A second goal from Evan had us in the driving seat midway through the second half, but Donaghmoyne hit the net late on to win by the narrowest of margins on a scoreline of 3-14 to 3-13. We have another away game v Latton next Tuesday.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Oisín Fagan, Jake McConnon, Conor Devlin; Niall Hahessy, Gary White (0-1), Nathan Lavery; Tiarnán O'Rourke, Lochlainn Power; Shea Swift, Liam Conway (0-1), James McKenny; Luke McManus (0-4), Evan Doherty (2-5, 0-2f), Niall Greenan (Capt., 1-2, 0-1f).

Subs used: Dean Doherty; James Keelaghan; Gregory O'Connell; Colm Shalvey.

Minor: We hosted Scotstown in the U-17 FL Division One last Thursday. Scotstown dominated the first half as they built up a big lead and although our lads competed much better after the restart, there was too much to do to catch up. Senan Cudden, Jack Lynch, John McCrystal, Fionán Ó Gallchóir and Cian Bradley were on the scoresheet for us, but Scotstown ran out winners by 2-17 to 2-7. The U-17 Leagues now take a break for exams.

Team and scorers: Oisín Reilly; Ali Galligan, Mark Clerkin, Max Mallen; Kyle Cooney, Shane Moran, Ethan McCaffrey; Senan Cudden (Capt., 1-1), Jack Lynch (0-1); Dónal Moran, Fionán Ó Gallchóir (0-3, 1f), Dara Mullin; John McCrystal (0-1), Cian Bradley (1-1, 1-0 pen), Eoin O'Hanlon.

Subs used: Diarmuid McGinnity; Max Aughey; Oisín Treanor.

U-15: Our U-15 teams dug out a pair of hard-earned wins last week. First up was a 4-7 to 3-8 win away to Scotstown in Division One on Thursday, before our Division 5B side defeated Truagh by 4-9 to 3-7 on Friday. The U-15 Leagues also now take a break for exams.

U-13: In a busy schedule for our U-13s, our Division Five team had a good win away to Castleblayney last Saturday. Our Division Two lads hosted Tyholland on Sunday. After Tyholland had pushed ahead early on, a powerful shot by Lewis Duffy flew past several defenders to hit the net and kick-start the Harps' challenge. An improved second-half performance saw our lads pile the pressure on, but Tyholland's defence held firm to secure a 2-11 to 3-3 win.

Team: Eoin Smith; Seán Lambe, Liam Ginley, Felim O'Driscoll-Kelly, Rhys Coyle, Cillian McKenna, Callum McCaffrey, Charlie O'Brien, Conor O'Neill, Lewis Duffy, Andrew McKenna, Daithí Graham, Cayden McDonnell.

Subs used: Bobby O'Brien; Daniel Treanor; Dara McKenna.

The busy run continues with Division Five games at home to Magheracloone tonight (Wednesday) and Scotstown on Friday and a Division Two fixture away to Emyvale on Sunday morning.

U-11: Our U-11s are away to Castleblayney tomorrow night (Thursday).
