IFL: We host Carrickmacross in the Intermediate Football League tomorrow night (Friday) at 8pm. All support welcome. There will be a bucket collection at the game in aid of urgent medical treatment for young Crossmaglen player Caolán Finnegan. There will be a half-time raffle with a signed Monaghan jersey as a prize. Please take €5 to donate to this worthy cause and raise as much as possible for a fellow GAA member who is in a battle.

Golf Classic: The countdown is on to our 2024 Golf Classic at Rossmore Golf Club on Saturday, June 22. Thanks to our organisers and sponsors: please contact Rose Donnelly (086 0825782) or Owen Connell (086 2453390) if you are interested in sponsoring a tee/green.

Abbey Fanning Tournament: Well done to everyone involved in the return of the Ladies' Club's Abbey Fanning Memorial Tournament last Saturday. Thanks to Dean, Kieran and the Fanning family for presenting the trophies, to our referees for officiating all the games, to all committee members and club volunteers for their work in preparing for the event and to all teams who participated. Congratulations to Cup winners St. Macartan's (Tyrone) and Shield winners St. Patrick's, Lordship (Louth).

Last Man Standing: Our senior footballers are running a fundraising Last Man Standing competition for Euro 2024 this summer. It is €10 to enter, by next Thursday, June 13, with prize money of €500. Please support our seniors with this initiative and raise some vital funds.

Sponsor a Seat: To celebrate and promote the continued development of our facilities at Gavan Duffy Park, we are offering the opportunity to sponsor/dedicate all remaining seats in our stand at a cost of €50. Contact a player or committee member from any section of the club for more information.

Reserves: A much-changed team lost out at home to Latton in the RFL Division 1A last Friday. A spirited performance in the first half left us trailing by 0-8 to 1-9, but Latton pulled away during the final quarter. We wish Cian Bradley a speedy recovery from his injury.

Team and scorers: Dylan McAree; Gregory O'Connell, Liam Conway, Adam McGarry; Luke Coyle, Nathan Lavery, Terence McDonald; Oisín Fagan (Capt.), Nicholas Scott; Eoghan McGinnity (0-6, 4f), Cian Bradley, Colm Shalvey; Niall Greenan; Evan Doherty (0-5f), Ali Galligan.

Subs used: Josh Kelly; Séadh Deeney; Zach Mallen; Shay Cooney.

We host Inniskeen in Division 3B this Sunday.

Minors: The minor leagues are on an exam break until the first week in July.

U-16: Our U-16s return from the exam break on Thursday, June 20.

U-14: Our U-14 Division One team fell just short in a play-off away to Castleblayney on Tuesday. Playing into a stiff breeze in the first half, a goal from Conall McGinnity kept our lads in touch at 0-8 to 1-1. Our lads had plenty of possession in the second half, but despite scores from Conall, Calum McCaffrey and Gabriel Cunningham, we couldn't bridge the gap, with Blayney going through on a scoreline of 0-16 to 2-6. Next up is a Shield semi-final at home to Truagh on Thursday, June 13.

Team and scorers: Daniel Treanor; Noah Connolly, Matthew Duffy; Tristan Brannigan, Liam Ginley, Evan McGarry; Kyron Coughlan, Gabriel Cunningham (0-1); Finn Brennan, Conor O'Neill, Daithí Graham; Calum McCaffrey (Capt., 1-1, 0-1f), Conall McGinnity (1-4, 0-3f).

Subs used: Ryan Lynch.

Our Division 5B team have a semi-final away to Donaghmoyne tomorrow evening (Friday) at 7pm.

Donations will be welcomed on the day to support the ongoing work of Crocus, which provides invaluable support and resources to the local community.
