Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 3, 8, 21 and 30. Jackpot of €1,200 not won. This week's four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were all c/o ClubZap: Marie McCarville; Cathal Grant; Frank Burke; and Eimear Galligan. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Eileen Morgan. Jackpot for Sunday, March 5 is €1,300. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

 

Meeting: The club's monthly meeting takes place in the clubhouse this evening (Thursday) at 8pm.

 

Club leagues: The Intermediate Football League is due to start on Saturday, April 15. The Reserve Football Leagues are scheduled to get underway on the weekend of March 18/19.

 

Litter pick: Monaghan Harps Hurling Club organised a very successful clean-up of our local area last Saturday morning. Young and old joined together to clean up our town. Thanks to everyone who helped out.

 

Health and well-being activities: Monaghan Sports Partnership have kindly funded some additional health and well-being activities for the club. We will be hosting a range of activities over the next few weeks. Booking is essential as places are limited and some classes are already full. Pilates and Mindfulness are adult-only. Ireland Lights Up: Our Ireland Lights Up walks concluded for 2023 with week seven last Wednesday. Thanks to our regular attendees and organisers. As part of our enhanced health & well-being activities in conjunction with Monaghan Sports Partnership, we will continue our Walking Wednesday programme for an additional six weeks. All welcome!

 

Registration: Thanks to everyone who has renewed their membership for 2023 so far: your continued support is appreciated. GRMA to our registrar Kevin Treanor for his efforts. It is essential that all players are registered in advance of training commencing. Míle buíochas.

 

Sympathy: Cumann Cláirsigh Mhuineacháin CLG would like to express our deepest sympathy to Kevin Treanor and family on the death of Kevin's brother Hugh. We keep them in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

 

County: Well done to the Monaghan senior footballers and hurlers on their Allianz NFL wins last Sunday. Well done also to Dearbhla Ní Mhearáin who sang an amazing rendition of Amhrán na bhFiann in Clones and to Bobby O'Brien, Charlie Burke, Daimhin Brett, Darragh Garvey, Finn Brennan, Matthew Duffy, Ryan Lynch and Séadanta Ó Grianna for playing in the half-time games over the last two Sundays. Good luck to all county teams in action this weekend.

Seisiún ceoil: CCÉ Baile Mhuineacháin's monthly session returned to our clubhouse last Sunday evening. Well done to everyone who took part!

 

Handball: Well done to Tiarnan O'Rourke and Szymon Polewski on reaching the Ulster Handball U-21 Singles Final last weekend. Congratulations to Tiarnan on winning the title!

 

DIL: Darkness Into Light returns to Monaghan Town in the early hours of May 6. Registration will open next month.

 

Pitch development: Our development continues to move along steadily. Many thanks to everyone who contributes to our lotto on a weekly basis, which has made this possible. To develop our pitches, access and look at floodlit facilities for the future, please help our club's growth financially through buying the lotto each week on the ClubZap app or from our many sellers.
