Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 11, 15, 25 and 28 Jackpot of €3,700 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Ronan McCaughey c/o Matt McCaughey; Adrian Dalton (direct debit) c/o himself; Maggie McCrarren c/o Barry Sullivan; and Mairéad Harvey c/o Brian Harvey. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by John Hahessy. Jackpot for Sunday, March 28 is €3,800. The club is asking members willing and financially able to contribute through our lotto towards club maintenance and running expenses. This can be done by two options: set up a standing order to our club lotto via quarterly or annual payments or using our new club app by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone, registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member and buying club lotto in bulk or on a weekly basis. Anyone interested can contact either Rose Donnelly (086 0825782); Maria McKenna (086 1057725) or Adrian Dalton (087 7859582). Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday, while physical tickets should be with the lotto committee by 9pm.

Fees are as follows: U-11s €20; juveniles/seniors €30; family membership €60. You can also renew your membership by contacting club registrar Kevin Treanor or treasurer Rose Donnelly. Please note that all juvenile and adult players must be paid-up members. With fundraising remaining limited, your support is greatly appreciated during these times.

National Club Draw: The 2021 National Club Draw has been postponed until June to enable clubs to sell tickets when public health restrictions are lifted. For anyone who has already sold a book of tickets, please drop them into the letterbox at our clubhouse and contact Rose Donnelly. As fundraising opportunities remain limited, your support is greatly appreciated.

Referee recruitment: Monaghan GAA recently launched an appeal for new referees. It is proposed that the basic Level 1 course be delivered as follows: two modules online and two in classroom form when circumstances allow. Please contact any committee member if you are interested in getting involved. Thanks to our current club referees for their ongoing efforts.

GAA Update: No on-field activity will be permitted – at club or inter-county level – until next month at the earliest. We thank you again for your patience and understanding of a very trying situation and we look forward with optimism to the resumption of GAA activities at all levels later in the year.

Coaching: Monaghan GAA Coaching & Games have teamed up with several county players to roll out a series of online sessions in recent weeks. Thanks to everyone involved.

Get Ready to Play Programme: The GAA Get Ready to Play Programme is a Coaching and Sport Science programme in association with UPMC Healthcare that will be delivered via webinars, website programmes, instructional videos and live sessions. This is a holistic programme supporting players and coaches during their return to training and in the build up to playing games again. The aim is to educate coaches and players by providing an evidence-informed programme. This will hopefully result in increased enjoyment, performance, participation and a reduction in the risk of injury. See links on our social media accounts.

Cumann Cláirsigh Mhuineacháin – Here To Help: We continue to be aware of the disruption caused by Covid-19, particularly to the elderly and vulnerable members of our community. The health and wellbeing of all our community is extremely important to us in Monaghan Harps GAA‏. See our club's social media accounts for useful contact numbers and some tips to mind your physical and mental health.

Club Leadership Development: There are still some online events remaining in the Club Leadership Development Programme for which club officers can register. See learning.gaa.ie for more details.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.

Ladies:

Player Profiles: We have had a great response to our initiative which has recently commenced on our social media pages. Any player who wants to participate please contact a member of our Committee/Coaching groups.

Coaching: Mná na gCláirseach are putting out an urgent appeal for new coaches in all grades. We have record playing numbers between U-12 and minor grades but unfortunately are not meeting the correct player: coach ratio. The future looks very promising but can only be achieved by having more coaches in place. Having experience in playing is important but not necessary. Please contact any committee/manager to express an interest. GRMA.
