DIL: Darkness Into Light, the annual fundraiser for Pieta House, brought a big crowd out and about in ideal conditions early last Saturday morning. As ever, our club members rowed in behind the event, supporting the committee chaired by Seán McKenna. Thanks very much to everyone involved.
IFL: We fell just short in an entertaining Intermediate Football League game at home to Truagh last Saturday. Despite points from Michael Galligan, Cian Bradley and Dylan McKenna, we fell well behind in the first half, although Michael netted a penalty just before half-time to close the gap to 0-12 to 1-4. A much-improved second-half performance saw scores by Neil McAdam, Seán Callan, Luke McManus, Michael Galligan and Gary Devlin bring us back on level terms late on, but Truagh hit a late winner to make the final score 0-17 to 1-13. Our next game is away to Clones on Saturday week, May 25.

Despite some good points from Adam McGarry, we trailed by 2-6 to 0-4 at half-time and a third goal for Killanny increased the gap after the restart. Goals by Oisín Reilly and RFL debutants Josh Kelly and Mike Bradley helped us make a comeback in the final quarter, but we lost out by 3-9 to 3-8.
