Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 1, 4, 14 and 25. Jackpot of €3,400 not won. This week's four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: €40 Aoibhín Treanor c/o Ann Treanor; Cormac McKenna c/o Ladies' Club; Eva Maco Treanor c/o Eileen McElvaney (Ladies' Club); and Úna Forde c/o herself. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Neill McGinn. Jackpot for Sunday, May 26 is €3,500. IFL: We are away to Clones in the Intermediate Football League this Saturday at 7pm. All support welcome.

 

Reserves: We fell short away to Aughnamullen in the first round of the O'Duffy Cup championship last Friday. Despite scores from Michael Galligan and Adam McGarry, we trailed by 1-7 to 0-4 at half-time. A brace of goals from Evan Doherty and points by Michael Galligan and Cian Bradley brought us back into the game in the final quarter, but we lost out on a scoreline of 2-11 to 2-8.

We were back to RFL Division 1A action in Magheracloone last night (Wednesday). Our Division 3B team are away to Truagh this Sunday.

 

Minors: Our U-18 Division One team had a good win at home to Carrickmacross on Tuesday evening. A tight first half saw a Dara Mullin goal and points from John McCrystal, Eoin Sheridan and Shay Lambe earn our lads a 1-4 to 0-4 lead. The Harps pushed on in the second half with goals by John McCrystal, Orrin Doherty and Eoin Sheridan and with Ethan McCaffrey and Jack Lynch also getting on the scoresheet for a 4-11 to 1-8 win.

U-16: Our U-16s lost out at home to Truagh last Thursday. We are away to Scotstown this evening (Thursday).

U-14: Our U-14 Division One team lost narrowly to Scotstown last Saturday. A busy weekend starts with a Division 5B game at home to Castleblayney on Saturday. Our other two teams are in action on Sunday: Division One away to Truagh and Division 5A at home to Scotstown.  

 

U-12: Good luck to our U-12 teams and their coaches in their Spring League Finals v Magheracloone in Cloghan tomorrow evening (Friday). All support welcome.

 

Juvenile coaching: Thanks to everyone involved in our Saturday-morning football coaching. Training continues every Saturday at 10am in Gavan Duffy. County: Good luck to James and Enda Brady, Rylan McCooey, mentors Patrick Hannon and Conor O'Neill and the Monaghan U-20 hurlers in this Saturday's All-Ireland 'C' Final in Cavan.

 

After-school programme: Following on from the success of our Easter after-school Gaelic Football coaching sessions at St. Mary's Boys' National School, we are running a further programme, in partnership with Monaghan GAA, until next Wednesday, May 29. Thanks to everyone involved.

 

Registration: Thanks to everyone who has renewed their membership for 2024 so far: your continued support is appreciated. GRMA to our new registrar Claire Ní Dhufaigh for her efforts. It is essential that all players at each grade are registered ASAP. Míle buíochas.
