Seniors: We got our first win of the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League at home to Emyvale last Saturday. Points by Neil McAdam, Conor McCrystal, Michael Galligan and Éimhín Morahan had us 0-7 to 0-2 up at half-time, although our lead should have been more convincing at that stage. Michael, Éimhín and Neil added to their tallies during the second half, while Kevin Loughran converted a penalty and Thomas Croarkin and Gary White were also on target as we secured the points on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-5.

Reserves: We lost out at home to Truagh in the RFL Division 1A in very difficult conditions last Wednesday. Scores by Conor Duffy, Evan Doherty and Conor McCrystal had us 1-5 to 0-1 up with the wind at our backs in the first half, but Truagh rallied with the last three points of the half. Points by Daragh Croarkin, Luke McManus and Conor McCrystal kept us in touch during the second half, but Truagh finished strongly to win by 1-14 to 1-11.

We exited the O'Duffy Cup with a 1-13 to 1-8 loss away to Scotstown last night (Wednesday). We wish Conor Duffy a speedy recovery from the injury he suffered during this game. The very busy schedule continues with a McKeown Cup quarter-final at home to Donaghmoyne this Sunday at 1pm and an away game against the same opposition in the RFL Division 1A on Tuesday at 8pm.
Minor: We began the U-17 FL Division One with an away win over Clones in testing conditions last Friday. Scores by Jack Lynch, Ethan McCaffrey, Fionán Ó Gallchóir, Cian Bradley and Eoin O'Hanlon had us well ahead in the first half, but Clones came back into the game either side of half-time to close the gap to five points, with the wind at their backs. Our lads regained their composure, however, with scores by John McCrystal, Ethan, Fionán and Cian securing a 3-15 to 1-10 win.

Next up on a busy weekend was a Division 3B game in Truagh on Sunday morning. Ethan McCaffrey, John McCrystal, Julian Coyle, Ali Galligan, Jack Kierans, Rohann McKenna-Malocca and James Gunn were all on the scoresheet as our lads secured their second league win on a scoreline of 1-14 to 1-4.

U-15: Our U-15 Division 5B team had a high-scoring win away to Aughnamullen last Wednesday. Our Division One campaign resumes with a short trip to Scotstown this evening (Thursday), while Division 5B continues with a home game against Truagh tomorrow (Friday). Both games throw in at 7.30pm.
U-13: Our U-13s have another busy schedule this week. Our Division Two team host Tyholland on Sunday at 3pm, while the Division Five league continues with games away to Castleblayney on Saturday and at home to Magheracloone on Wednesday.
U-11: Our U-11s hosted Inniskeen a double-header last Saturday. Their next games are away to Castleblayney next Thursday (June 2).
County Council award: Last week, representatives of our football and hurling clubs accepted an award from Monaghan County Council, in partnership with Monaghan Volunteer Centre, for the contribution made by club members during the Covid-19 pandemic. Well done to all involved.
Hurling: The Hurling Club's table quiz was a successful night in our clubhouse on Friday, May 13. Well done to the organisers, Quiz-Master & MC Brian Clerkin and the winners on the night. Congratulations also to the winners of the Hurling Club's raffle: Stephen Driver; Eimear Brennan; Brian & Eileen Treanor; Owen Connell; Hilda McManus; Paul Heaney; Aoife Quinn; Emma Cleary; and Laura Carroll.
