Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 6, 10, 19 and 29. Jackpot of €1,900 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were €40 Darragh & Fiadh White c/o Mary White; €40 Colm Shalvey c/o ClubZap; €40 Niall Brannigan c/o ClubZap; €40 Eugene McGinnity c/o ClubZap. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Sheila Treanor. Jackpot for Sunday, November 15 is €2,000. The club is asking members willing and financially able to contribute through our lotto towards club maintenance and running expenses. This can be done by two options: set up a standing order to our club lotto via quarterly or annual payments or using our new club app by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone, registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member and buying club lotto in bulk or on a weekly basis. Anyone interested can contact either Rose Donnelly (086 0825782); Maria McKenna (086 1057725) or Adrian Dalton (087 7859582). Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club, particularly this year. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday, while physical tickets should be with the lotto committee by 9pm.

Sympathy: Some sad news to report this week as we extend our sympathy to the families of Fergal Flynn, Liz Brennan and Martin Reilly. Fergal was part of a minor double-winning Harps team in 1975 and we extend our condolences to the Flynn, Morahan and Swift families. Fergal's son Neil helped Kildare to a win in the Leinster SFC last weekend, while our own Conor Flynn, one of Fergal's nephews lined out with the Monaghan senior hurlers in the Nicky Rackard Cup. Liz Brennan was an ardent supporter of our lotto and sold tickets weekly for the club for several years and our thoughts are with her family at this time. We were also saddened to hear of the death of Rose Donnelly's brother Martin Reilly and we offer our sympathy to the Donnellys and Reillys. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.

AGM: A chairde, as things stand with current restrictions, we hope to go ahead and hold the AGM on Thursday, November 26. As a result of restrictions, we will try to do as much preparation online as possible. Subsequently, we ask all paid-up members to email Secretary.monaghanharps.monaghan@gaa.ie so that we can forward information/nomination forms. Please note that only paid-up members on October 31, 2020 can submit nomination forms, seek election or vote at our Annual General Meeting (Rule 2.1 (g) Official Guide Part 1 2020 – with special provision made due to Covid-19). Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Green Ribbon campaign: Cavan and Monaghan GAA are jointly supporting the Green Ribbon campaign to end mental health stigma and to encourage anyone who is struggling to cope to reach out to others for help. Both counties are also actively engaging with the HSE in Cavan-Monaghan to identify and to advertise the critical support services that are available to individuals and to families. Visit yourmentalhealth.ie for information and signposting on all mental health supports and services that are available nationally & locally provided by the HSE & funded partners.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.

Hurling: Our club A.G.M. is taking place this Friday, November 13. The meeting will be held via Zoom and the link for the meeting will be available for those who wish to be involved. If you have any queries or suggestions for the meeting please contact club chairperson Adrian Dalton or club secretary Patrick Meehan.

Ladies: The Harps Ladies AGM will be online @ 8pm on November 28. Anyone interested in getting involved on or off the pitch for 2021, please contact any member of the committee.
