Fixture: Sunday, November 21: JFL Final: Clones v Toome at Gavan Duffy Park at 2pm

 

Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 4, 8, 15 and 23. Jackpot of €3,400 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Eileen Morgan c/o herself; Gerard Clerkin c/o Ladies Club; Eileen McElvaney c/o herself; and Mary McRory c/o Paddy Donnelly. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Paddy Donnelly. Jackpot for Sunday, November 21 is €3,500. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday, while physical tickets should be with the lotto committee by 9pm.

 

JFL Final: We will host the Junior Football League Final between Clones and Toome this Sunday at 2pm. All help appreciated from 1pm on.

 

AGM: A chairde, we will hold our AGM on Thursday, December 2 at 7.30pm. Please return all completed nomination forms ASAP.

 

Juvenile AGM: In advance of the senior AGM, we will hold our Juvenile AGM in the clubhouse tomorrow night (Thursday, November 18) at 8pm. All Covid-19 protocols will be applied.

 

Juvenile management 2022: We have decided to seek expressions of interest in coaching our juvenile teams early this year to aid the incoming coaching officer/committee as much as possible. This will mean that they can make their decisions ASAP and select management teams which can start immediately. Please send on any interest you may have to manage/coach/assist next year and with what age-group to Pádraig Callan on 087 2543511 by this Sunday, November 21. GRMA.

 

County: Congratulations to Seán Callan, Oisín Reilly and Jack Lynch on their selection on the Monaghan minor football panel for 2022 and well done also to the rest of the Harps contingent who represented the club at the trials. Well done to Jack Lynch, Ethan McCaffrey, John McCrystal, Diarmuid McGinnity, Shea Corrigan, Orrin Doherty, Mark Lynch, Rhys McCaffrey, Shane McGarry and Eoin Sheridan for representing the club on county development squads in recent weeks.

GVI fundraiser: As part of the GVI Ambassador programme, Mary White is organising a clothes collection for this Saturday, November 20 in McNally's car park in town from 12 to 3pm. Clothing, shoes, bed linen, curtains, belts and handbags can be accepted. Collection can be arranged by contacting Mary on 083 8750843.

 

Apartment in Lanzarote: Monaghan GAA are running a development draw with a first prize of a Holiday Home in Lanzarote. The club has received some tickets from the county board, costing €75 each, and they can be purchased by contacting Rose Donnelly (086 0825782).

 

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.

 

Hurling Club Shoebox Appeal: Thanks to everyone who has donated to the Christmas Shoebox Appeal. We are overwhelmed by the support of players, members, parents and the local community in providing joy and happiness to children who are less fortunate than ourselves. The club has collected and built 56 shoeboxes. Monaghan Harps Hurling Club is proud to support this community and others where possible.
