Fixtures: Saturday, October 15: IFC Play-Off v Blackhill in Cremartin at 4pm

Sunday, October 16: U-17 HC Division One: St. Macartan's v Castleblayney at Gavan Duffy Park at 11am

Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 1, 4, 11 and 14. Jackpot of €3,700 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Kelly Croarkin c/o Jimmy Croarkin; Tommy Croarkin (direct debit) c/o senior footballers; Frank Burke c/o ClubZap; and Brendan McMahon. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Jimmy Croarkin. Jackpot for Sunday, October 16 is €3,800. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

Seniors: A strong first-half performance proved enough to secure a 3-11 to 1-11 win over Tyholland in Scotstown last Sunday. Goals by Neil McAdam, Dean Doherty and Michael Galligan put us firmly in the driving seat, with Conor McCrystal, Éimhín Morahan, Nathan Lavery and Luke McManus also on target as we built up a 3-8 to 0-5 half-time lead. A stop-start second half saw us lose our momentum, but scores from Neil and Éimhín were enough to hold off a late rally from Tyholland.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Dean Doherty (1-0), Nicholas Scott, Thomas Croarkin; Aodhán Óg McAnespie (Capt.), Kevin Loughran, Gary Devlin; Tiarnán O'Rourke, Kevin Moran; Conor McCrystal (0-1), Éimhín Morahan (0-4, 3f), Nathan Lavery (0-1); Michael Galligan (1-2, 0-1m), Neil McAdam (1-2, 0-1f), Luke McManus (0-1).

Subs: Liam Conway for Lavery (42 mins); Dylan McKenna for Moran (48); Shea Swift for McManus (50); Shane McMahon for McKenna (inj., 59).

The stakes remain high this Saturday as we face a play-off v Blackhill in Cremartin at 4pm. All support would be appreciated for another must-win game.

Coffee morning: Following on from our successful men's health night in June, Monaghan Harps Healthy Club committee, in conjunction with Crocus and Monaghan Co Council, have designed posters with useful local and national helplines for men and women. We will be launching the posters at a coffee morning in the clubhouse tomorrow (Thursday, October 13) at 11am as part of world mental health day/week. All welcome.

Gavan Duffy Park: Thanks to the club members who helped us host the U-15 HC Final between Castleblayney and Clontibret last Sunday.

Pitch development: Our development is moving along nicely. Many thanks to everyone who contributes to our lotto on a weekly basis, which has made this possible. To develop our pitches, access and look at floodlit facilities for the future, please help our club's growth financially through buying the lotto each week on the ClubZap app or from our many sellers.

Minor: Hard luck to our U-17 Division 3B team, who fell short by the narrowest of margins in last Sunday's championship final against Scotstown in very difficult conditions in Threemilehouse. After taking a while to get to grips with the rain and wind, we eventually got the scoreboard ticking with points from John McCrystal and Oisín Reilly to lead by 0-7 to 0-1 at the interval. The second half was a complete role reversal, however, as we struggled to get up the pitch when facing into the stiff breeze and Scotstown gradually reeled us in to edge ahead for the only time in the game just minutes before the final whistle. Our lads dug deep to search for an equaliser, but Scotstown held firm. We wish Mark Lynch a speedy recovery from the injury that forced him off during the first half of Sunday's game. This was our first year to enter a second team at minor level and while silverware proved just beyond us in both league and championship finals, our lads can reflect on a season that saw our U-17 sides play a total of 29 competitive games. Thanks to the players and everyone involved this year.

Team and scorers: Oisín McGeown; Ali Galligan, Diarmuid McGinnity, Shay Lambe; John Sherry, Kyle Cooney, Fergal Magee; Jack Kierans, Mark Lynch; Julian Coyle, Dara Mullin, Eoin Sheridan; Max Mallen (Capt.); John McCrystal (0-6, 4f), Oisín Reilly (0-1).

Panel: Shane McGarry; Dónal Moran; Shea Corrigan; Kyle Murray; James Gunn; Rohann McKenna-Malocca; Max Aughey; John Paul Ginley; Winston Onkeweke; Daniel Aughey; Orrin Doherty.

Management: Brian Lenehan; Colm Shalvey; Michael Buckley; Brendan Burns.

Sympathy: We send condolences to the Dalton family on the death of Jim's brother, Michael. Our thoughts are also with all those impacted by last week's tragedy in Creeslough, Co Donegal.

Hurling: Congratulations to our U-15 hurlers on their Division Two Championship final win over Truagh on Monday evening.

Ladies: Congratulations to our U-14 girls on their win last Sunday.
