Fixture: Sunday, October 20: IFC v Clones in Threemilehouse at 1pm

 

Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 1, 20, 23 and 27. Jackpot of €1,300 not won. This week's four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Sarah Smyth c/o Matt McCaughey; Ann Horgan c/o Matt McCaughey; Connie Corrigan c/o Damien Morgan; and Pauline Maguire c/o ClubZap. Jackpot for Sunday, October 20 is €1,400. Thanks to everyone for your continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club and is funding our ongoing development works. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

 

IFC: Threemilehouse is the venue for our IFC game against Clones this Sunday at 1pm. All support welcome.

 

Minors: Our minor Division One team are preparing for the championship final against Scotstown, which is due to be played in Clones on Sunday week, October 27.

 

Refereeing Information Evening: We are holding a Refereeing Information/Recruitment talk in the clubhouse tonight (Thursday) at 8.15pm. The talk will last approximately 30/40 minutes and will be presented by the Ulster Referees' Committee. The evening will be geared at discussing the roles/coaching/supports available to referees while also discussing the expenses and financial benefits of refereeing and is open to any players/non players who may be interested in refereeing.

 

Ladies: Our Mothers & Others team presented the O'Reilly family with a cheque (€1,256) for Monaghan & Cavan Palliative Care, proceeds from the raffle we had at our recent blitz. We thank all the teams who took part and we send best wishes to the O'Reilly family on the 'runamuck' challenge in aid of Monaghan & Cavan Palliative Care. Well done to everyone involved.

 

Scór na nÓg: Scór na nÓg returns next month with the Tráth na gCeist in Latton on November 7 and the stage events in Clontibret on November 9.

 

Juvenile coaching: Our juvenile Gaelic football coaching will continue with a winter programme next month in the St. Macartan's College sports hall. Parents will receive full details via their relevant WhatsApp group.

 

AGMs: Our AGM will take place on Thursday, November 7. Nomination forms are available from Brenda McConnon. Please ensure you speak with anyone you nominate in advance and return forms to secretary.monaghanharps.monaghan@gaa.ie or 22 Station View, Monaghan. Closing date for nominations will be Wednesday, October 16 at 6pm. Our Juvenile AGM is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30.
