The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Joe Finlay. Jackpot for Sunday, October 6 is €1,200. Thanks to everyone for your continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club and is funding our ongoing development works. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

Tony Croarkin RIP: Cumann Cláirsigh Mhuineacháin express sincere sympathies to the Croarkin family on the sad passing of Anthony. Tony was a minor double winner in his playing days and remained a steadfast supporter of the Harps over many years. As well as being a former jersey sponsor for some of our juvenile teams, Tony was a consistent supporter of club and community events, including Darkness into Light. Our club called on his expertise as a plumber on numerous occasions over the years: Tony was always obliging and helpful and will be missed around Gavan Duffy Park. He proudly supported his children in their sporting endeavours; his son Thomas is a valued member of our senior football team and captained our reserves this year. Our thoughts are with Therese, Claire, Orla, Anthony and Thomas and Tony's siblings and extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

IFC: A strong second-half performance earned us a 1-13 to 0-11 win away to Emyvale in the first round of the Intermediate Football Championship Relegation Group last Saturday. Despite points from Michael Galligan and Kevin Loughran, we fell four points down towards the end of the first half, but a well-taken goal by Neil McAdam gave us a timely boost and cut Emyvale's lead to one at 0-8 to 1-4. An improved second-half display saw Neil, Seán Callan, Luke McManus, Dylan McKenna and Conor McCrystal kick the scores that turned the game in our favour. We wish Dean Doherty a speedy recovery from his injury.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Kevin Moran, Jake McConnon, Aodhán Óg McAnespie; Oisín Fagan, Gary Devlin, Kevin Loughran (0-1); Lochlainn Power, Dylan McKenna (0-1); Seán Callan (Capt., 0-2), Neil McAdam (1-3), Michael Galligan (0-3f); Dean Doherty; Fionán Ó Gallchóir, Luke McManus (0-2).

Subs used: Conor McCrystal (Capt., 0-1); Senan Cudden; Thomas Croarkin; Cian Bradley; Shane Moran.

We host Blackhill in round two this Sunday at 1pm. All support welcome.

Minors: Best of luck to our minor Division One team and management in their championship semi-final v Truagh in Emyvale this Saturday at 1.30pm. Please support!

Meeting: The club's monthly meeting for October takes place tonight (Thursday) in the clubhouse at 8pm.

Quiz: Thanks to everyone who contributed to last Friday night's table quiz. Well done to the social committee and the senior players who organised the night and gathered sponsorship and, as always, to our quizmaster, Joe Ó Gallchóir. GRMA also to all our sponsors, to everyone who took food and last but not least, thanks to everyone who attended; we hope you all had a great evening.

Juvenile coaching: We are preparing for the last day of the season, which will be a fun event this Saturday, October 5. Part of this event is our only juvenile fundraiser and this is a sponsored walk/solo run depending on ability/age. We would be so grateful if you could support your child in getting their sponsorship card filled card to the value of €60, which will entitle kids to a jersey.

AGM: Our AGM will take place on Thursday, November 7. Nomination forms are available from Brenda McConnon. Please ensure you speak with anyone you nominate in advance and return forms to secretary.monaghanharps.monaghan@gaa.ie or 22 Station View, Monaghan. Closing date for nominations will be Wednesday, October 17 at 6pm.

Gavan Duffy Park: Thanks to our stewards and helpers at last Sunday's IFC quarter-final between Castleblayney and Tyholland.

Sponsor a Seat: To celebrate and promote the continued development of our facilities at Gavan Duffy Park, we are offering the opportunity to sponsor/dedicate all remaining seats in our stand at a cost of €50. Contact a player or committee member from any section of the club for more information.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.
