Ógie jerseys: We were delighted to meet with the Ó Dufaigh family last week to present them with the first four limited-edition Ógie jerseys. This special jersey was designed by our senior captain Aodhán Óg McAnespie in collaboration with the Ó Dufaigh family. We thank Monaghan GAA, Croke Park & O'Neills for working with us, our senior manager Paddy Kelly and Mel McMorrow in granting permission for this fitting tribute to Ógie. Orders can now be made using our ClubZap app. Open the app and tap on 'Club Shop' to order.

Seniors: We lost out away to Clontibret in round three of the Greenfield Foods Senior Football Championship last Saturday. Points by Neil McAdam, Kevin Loughran and Michael Galligan kept us in touch early on, but a brace of goals in quick succession saw Clontibret build up a 2-9 to 0-5 half-time lead. Liam Hahessy came on to kick 1-1 in the second half, while Neil, Kevin, Michael and Dean Fanning were also on target, but Clontibret's goal-scoring threat at the other end helped them push on to win by 4-15 to 1-0.

Team and scorers: Conor Callan; Thomas Croarkin, Aodhán Óg McAnespie (Capt.), Kevin Loughran (0-2); Dean Doherty, Conn O'Hanlon, David Lowry; Neil McAdam (0-2f), Dylan McKenna; Nicholas Scott, Conor Galligan, Dean Fanning (0-1f); Michael Galligan (0-4, 3f), Gary White, Éimhín Morahan.

Subs: Dónal Hahessy for Doherty (H-T); Lochlainn Power for McKenna (35); Tiarnán O'Rourke for White, Liam Hahessy (1-1) for Morahan (both 39); Shane McMahon for M Galligan (46).

Our next game in Group Two is at home to Castleblayney on October 10.

Minors: Our U-17s host Clontibret in the quarter-finals of the Minor Football Championship this Sunday at 1pm. All support welcome.

U-15: Our U-15 teams both fell to narrow defeats in championship action last weekend. First up was the Division One game away to Scotstown on Saturday. These teams had played out a close contest in the league final and this one also went down to the wire, with points by John McCrystal (two) and Dónal Moran leaving our lads trailing by 1-3 to 0-3 at the end of a low-scoring first half. Scores continued to be hard earned after the restart, with points by Eoin Sheridan and John McCrystal keeping the Harps in touch, before John tucked away a penalty to edge us ahead midway through the half. John added another point to leave our lads one up inside the last five minutes, but a brace of late scores saw Scotstown edge through by the narrowest of margins (1-7 to 1-6).

Team and scorers: Oisín McGeown; John Sherry, Mark Lynch, Rhys McCaffrey; Shea Corrigan, Ethan McCaffrey, Orrin Doherty; Diarmuid McGinnity, Jack Lynch; Eoin Sheridan (0-1), Kyle Cooney, Dónal Moran (0-1); Jack Kierans, John McCrystal (1-4, 1-0 pen, 0-2f), Dara Mullin.

Subs used: Daniel Alexis; Julian Coyle.

Panel: Dáire McKenna, James Gunn, Shane McGarry, Oisín Brannigan, Fergal Magee, John Paul Ginley, Daniel Aughey, Ryan Grant, Shay Lambe, Daithí Devlin, Rohann McKenna-Malocca, Kyle Murray.

The scores flowed much more freely in Sunday Division's 5A championship opener away to Clontibret, but our lads unfortunately lost out on a scoreline of 3-18 to 4-10.

Thanks to the players and coaches for their efforts this season, which saw them reach two league finals.

U-13: Our U-13s look forward to the upcoming championships in Division Two and Division Six, with the draws yet to be made.
