Gavan Duffy Park: Thanks to our stewards and helpers at last Sunday's U-12 final. All help would be appreciated as we host an IFC quarter-final between Castleblayney and Tyholland this Sunday.

Minors: Well done to our minor Division One team for qualifying for the championship semi-finals with a home win over Clontibret last Saturday. Needing to win by at least six points on the day, our lads were six clear at the end of an entertaining first half (4-4 to 0-10), courtesy of two goals each from John McCrystal and Orrin Doherty. Clontibret made a strong start to the second half, but John added another well-taken goal to his tally and with Jack Lynch and Ethan McCaffrey adding points, our lads sealed a good win on a scoreline of 5-12 to 1-14. The semi-final against Truagh is due to be played on Saturday week, October 5 (details TBC).

Juvenile coaching: Thanks to everyone who helps with our Saturday-morning football coaching. We are preparing for the last day of the season which will be a fun event on Saturday week, October 5. Part of this event is our only juvenile fundraiser and this is a sponsored walk/solo run depending on ability/age. We would be so grateful if you could support your child in getting their sponsorship card filled card to the value of €60, which will entitle kids to a jersey. Training continues this Saturday at 10am in Gavan Duffy.

Last Saturday, around 15 of our juvenile players excitedly took part in a training session with players and coaches at the Tyrone GAA Garvaghey Centre. This was an amazing opportunity to learn new skills, tactics and techniques, but most of all, to have fun! Thanks to everyone involved.

Ladies: Well done to everyone involved in last Saturday's Monaghan Harps Ladies Gaelic for Mothers & Others blitz in perfect conditions at Gavan Duffy Park. Thanks to Emyvale, Carrickmacross, Carrickmore, Lacken, St. Finbarr's, St. Macartan's, Cullloville, Cootehill and Ballyhaise for taking part. GRMA also to the three referees (Paul, Colm and Martin) to all the sponsors for their support and to everyone who helped out or contributed to the raffle. Over €1,000 was raised for local charities. Commiserations to our U-16 girls and their management team who lost their championship final by the narrowest of margins.

Sponsor a Seat: To celebrate and promote the continued development of our facilities at Gavan Duffy Park, we are offering the opportunity to sponsor/dedicate all remaining seats in our stand at a cost of €50. Contact a player or committee member from any section of the club for more information.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.
