Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 3, 9, 24 and 26. Jackpot of €2,000 not won. This week's four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Katie Hughes c/o Rose Hughes; Noel Hennessy c/o himself; Harry McAree c/o Jimmy Croarkin; and Damien Morgan c/o Eileen Morgan. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Matt McCaughey. Jackpot for Sunday, April 30 is €2,100. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club and is funding our current development works. Spring clean: The Monaghan Harps community invites you to join us for a clean-up of the Monaghan town area this Saturday, April 29, at 11am. Meeting at Gavan Duffy Park: please wear a hi-vis and bring a picker and/or gloves if you own them. Otherwise, they will be provided. In order to provide litter pick equipment and refreshments for after the litter pick, we would appreciate that those planning to attend fill in the form via the Hurling Club's social media. All are welcome to take part in keeping our local community clean!

 

Juvenile presentation/seisiún ceoil: CCÉ Baile Mhuineacháin's monthly session takes place in our clubhouse this Sunday, April 30, from 6.30pm. This will also be the night of our juvenile presentation, all welcome.

DIL: Darkness Into Light, the annual fundraiser for Pieta House, returns to Monaghan Town in the early hours of next Saturday, May 6. Registration is now open via darknessintolight.ie and there will also be in-person sign-up opportunities in Monaghan Shopping Centre this Saturday.

 

Monaghan Harps Juvenile Club Clothes Collection: This took place last Saturday and Wednesday. Thanks to everyone who contributed and well done to Mary and co. for organising.

 

IFL: We fell to a 1-16 to 0-16 defeat away to Clones in the Intermediate Football League last Sunday. In a game where the teams were never separated by more than one score, a goal late in the first half by Clones eventually made the difference.

Reserves: Our RFL Division 3B team lost out away to Truagh last Saturday. Attention turns to championship this Sunday with a home game against Blackhill in the first round of the McKeown Cup at 2pm.

Saturday-morning coaching: Our juvenile Gaelic football coaching for 4-9-year-olds has resumed for 2023 and will continue each Saturday morning from 10-11am. Thanks to everyone involved.

 

U-15: Our U-15s had a hard-earned win in an exciting game away to Truagh last Thursday. A strong team effort on the night saw us hold off a late charge from Truagh to win by 5-8 to 3-11.

U-13: Our U-13s begin their Division One and Division Five leagues away to Scotstown this Saturday at 11am and 12.30pm. Both games are due to be played in Kilmore. Good luck to all involved.

 

Sympathy: Cumann Cláirsigh Mhuineacháin express sympathies to Kevin Loughran and family on the passing of his grandmother, Alma Loughran, and to James and the Greenan and Lambe families on the passing of James' mother, Mena Greenan. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.

 

County: Good luck to all the county teams in action this week, including Kevin Loughran and the Monaghan senior footballers in Saturday's Ulster SFC semi-final v Derry in Omagh.
