Seán Boyle RIP: Cumann Cláirsigh Mhuineacháin CLG would like to express sincere sympathy to the family of our former player, Vice-Chair and Asst. Treasurer Seán Boyle. Seán gave many years of dedicated service to the club and will be fondly remembered. We keep his family in our thoughts at this difficult time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Pitch development: Thanks to the club members, coaches and parents of underage players who attended our meetings about the club's redevelopment plan last Friday and Monday. We ask that members and supporters from all sections of the club would consider regularly entering the Harps Lotto via the recurring/subscription options on ClubZap. This is an invaluable help to the club as we progress with the development works. Our Lotto has been central to every development at Gavan Duffy Park over almost three decades and it will remain vital as we upgrade our training facilities.

Minor: Our U-17 Division 3B team contested their league final against Scotstown in Latton last Thursday. John McCrystal and Rohann McKenna were on target during a tense first half that ended with our lads leading by 0-6 to 0-5. The game opened up during the second half, with goals by John McCrystal and Kyle Cooney and points from John and Ethan McCaffrey keeping us in touch throughout. The game remained level until late on, when Scotstown found the net to secure a hard-earned 2-13 to 2-10 win. This was our first year to enter two teams at this level so well done to all the players involved on the night and throughout the season to date. We still have championships to look forward to for both teams, as well as a Division One Shield Final v Truagh. Please check online to confirm fixtures.

Team and scorers: Oisín McGeown; Dónal Moran, Max Mallen (Capt.); Dara Mullin, Kyle Cooney (1-0), Fergal Magee; Jack Kierans, Ethan McCaffrey (0-1); Julian Coyle, John McCrystal (1-7, 0-3f), Rohann McKenna-Malocca (0-2); James Gunn, Ali Galligan.

Subs used: Mark Lynch; John Sherry.

U-15: Congratulations to our U-15 Division 5B team on their league final win against Corduff in Doohamlet last Friday. The foundations for the win were built during a strong first-half performance, where scores by Winston Onkeweke, Deagan Doherty, Kyle Lavery, Jake Cassidy and Luke Swift pushed our lads into a healthy lead. It was the turn of our backs to show their mettle in the second half, showing great diligence to restrict Corduff's opportunities to get back into the game. Further scores at the other end by Winston, Deagan and James Cunningham ensured the Harps saw out the league with their unbeaten run intact. Well done to all of the panel and to their mentors: Martin Sheridan, Val Forde, Nicholas Scott, Dessie McGarry, Brenda McConnon and Daragh Croarkin. Good luck to all involved with both our U-15 teams as they prepare for their championships.

Team and scorers: Alex Flynn; Daniel Aughey, Roberts Uskaus; Ruairí Smyth (Capt.), Adam Richardson; Kyle Lavery (0-3), Conor Farmer; Deagan Doherty (1-1, 0-1f), Luke Swift (0-1); Winston Onkeweke (2-6, 0-2f), Jake Cassidy (0-1f).

U-13: Our U-13 Division Six team enjoyed a good win at home to Scotstown in their championship opener last Saturday. The Division Two championship begins with a rescheduled game away to Clontibret this Saturday at 11am.

U-11: Our U-11s host Castleblayney in the Liam Stirrat Development League this Saturday morning.

Blitz: We hosted a blitz for U-9s at Gavan Duffy Park last Friday. Thanks to everyone involved in organising and hosting this blitz.

Well done: To all our members who competed in the All-Ireland Fleadh last weekend in Mullingar.

Harps Sumer Camp: Our own in-house Sumer Camp will not take place this year due to ground development. We look forward to bringing this initiative back next year.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.
