The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Sheila Treanor. Jackpot for Sunday, January 29 is €5,200. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

Registration: Thanks to everyone who has renewed their membership for 2023 so far, your continued support is appreciated. Our registrar Kevin Treanor has organised another registration afternoon for this Saturday (12 noon to 1.30pm). It is essential that all players are registered in advance of training commencing. Please avail of this opportunity to register for the year ahead. Míle buíochas.

Charity match: Please return all sponsorship cards and donations from our New Year's Day charity match to Mary White or Owen Connell by this Saturday. All donations will be gratefully accepted on behalf of our local Solas Drop-In Centre, who do essential work around mental health in our area.

Ireland Lights Up: Ireland Lights Up has returned to Monaghan Harps GAA Club and will continue each Wednesday through January and February. Just a few points to note: Participation is entirely free of charge and suitable for all the family. Registration starts at 7.15pm in the clubhouse foyer. Every walker needs to register on a weekly basis for insurance purposes. Although our route has lighting, we recommend wearing high-vis clothing and carrying a small torch. We will have plenty of volunteers and a fantastic group of walking leaders present every night to ensure a safe and fun event for everyone. We are delighted that Monaghan Harps have been chosen by RTÉ to join us for our walk next Thursday, February 2 (time to be confirmed). Save the date and please bring a friend or three … more information to follow.

Awards: Congratulations to Eoghan McGinnity on receiving the Senior Handballer of the Year award for the second time at last Saturday's Monaghan GAA function. Well done also to Neil McAdam, who received due recognition for his years of service to the county teams.

Seisiún ceoil: CCÉ Baile Mhuineacháin's new monthly session will take place on the final Sunday of each month in our clubhouse. The first one of 2023 is on this Sunday, January 29: junior session: 6.30-7.15pm; senior session: 7.30-8.30pm. Fáilte roimh chách! Everyone welcome

Club Draw: The GAA's National Club Draw is back for 2023, offering great prizes. All support appreciated.

County: Good luck to Kevin Loughran and the Monaghan senior footballers in their Allianz NFL opener against Armagh this Saturday in Castleblayney.

Clothes drive/swap shop: Thanks to everyone who contributed in any way to the club clothes drive and club swap shop, which received great support over the last two Saturdays. Well done to the hurling club committee for their work in organising this initiative.

Schools: We wish good luck to all our young players currently representing the club in schools' and third-level competitions. Hard luck to Gary Devlin, Jack Lynch, Shea Swift, Luke McManus, Michael McMorrow, Shane Moran, Senan Cudden, Eoin O'Hanlon, Seán Callan and the Sem team on their defeat in Sunday's MacRory Cup quarter-final. We host a MacRory semi-final between Patrician High School, Carrickmacross and Omagh CBS this Saturday at 2pm. All help would be appreciated.

Every Step Counts: The GAA/Irish Life Every Step Counts challenge runs until February 15. Clubs who reach the target of walking a combined total of 4,000 km in that time – the equivalent of walking around the coastline of Ireland – will be entered into a draw to win O'Neill's vouchers. To take part, download the My Life app, register your details, tap on the social tab within the app and select your club. Family and friends can join in too.

Sympathy: The club was very saddened to hear at the weekend of the passing of one of our juvenile hurlers, Odhrán Connolly. Our deepest sympathies are with the Harps hurlers, Rockcorry GAA and Odhrán's family & friends. We also send our condolences to the Soraghan family on the death of former Harps player and administrator, Peter. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.

Pitch development: Our development continues to move along steadily. Many thanks to everyone who contributes to our lotto on a weekly basis, which has made this possible. To develop our pitches, access and look at floodlit facilities for the future, please help our club's growth financially through buying the lotto each week on the ClubZap app or from our many sellers.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.
