Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 2, 14, 16 and 28. Jackpot of €3,000 not won. This week's four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Gary Smyth c/o Séamus Treanor; Nicholas Scott (direct debit) c/o senior footballers; Gary White (Truagh) c/o Barry Sullivan; and Maria Bastic c/o Joe Finlay (Hurling Club). The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Séamus Treanor. Jackpot for Sunday, July 9 is €3,100. County: Best of luck to Adrian Gunn, Ethan McCaffrey, Jack and Mark Lynch, John McCrystal, Shea Corrigan and the Monaghan minor footballers in Sunday's All-Ireland MFC Final v Derry in Armagh. Well done to Kevin Loughran and the county senior men on qualifying for the All-Ireland SFC semi-finals. Good luck also to Emma Clerkin and the Monaghan senior ladies Antrim on Sunday.

 

Pitch Development Raffle: All sections of Monaghan Harps are joining forces to organising a fundraising raffle for the development of our pitches. There are loads of exciting prizes to be won including: €600 voucher for Galgorm Resort; €300 voucher for Farnham Estate; €200 voucher for MacNean House & Restaurant; €150 voucher for Mono Furniture; Kerstace Haircare Hamper (worth €150); Fourball for Concra Wood Golf Club; Fourball for Rossmore Golf Club. Other prizes include restaurant vouchers, golf lessons, UCAA classes, portrait, google speaker and signed Monaghan jersey from the All-Ireland winning Lory Meagher team.

Summer camps: The Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camp returned to Gavan Duffy Park this week, ending tomorrow (Friday). Our own in-house summer camp is set to return this year from August 21-25. More details to follow.

 

IFL: We lost out away to Cremartin in the Intermediate Football League last Friday. Points from Neil McAdam, Nicholas Scott, Michael Galligan and Conor McCrystal had us 0-9 to 0-5 up at half-time, but we struggled for scores against the breeze in the second half and Cremartin gained the upper hand.

Reserves: We had a hard-earned win at home to Truagh in the RFL Division 1A last Sunday. After being level at 0-5 apiece at half-time, we led for much of the second half, with Eoin O'Hanlon netting the only goal. Truagh rallied to draw level late on, but we got over the line for a 1-10 to 0-12 win.

We lost out away to Donaghmoyne in Division 1A on Tuesday. Gary White, Dylan McKenna, Dónal Hahessy, Terence McDonald, Luke McManus and Evan Doherty were on target for us, but a quick brace of goals just before half-time sent Donaghmoyne clear and we could never bridge the gap.

U-17: Our minor Division Four team are away to Castleblayney on Saturday. Our first Division One game is at home to Scotstown on Sunday week, July 16.

 

U-15: Our U-15s battled their way to a draw at home to Tyholland last Thursday. In a game where the teams were never separated by more than two points, scores from Calum McCaffrey, Kyle Lavery, Deagan Doherty and Ethan Grant earned us a draw on a scoreline of 1-7 to 0-10.

U-13: Hard luck to our U-13 Division Five team, who fell just short in last Wednesday's league semi-final away to Magheracloone. Good luck to the players and coaches for the Division One Shield Final v Castleblayney on Saturday in Tyholland at 12 noon.
