Fixture: Saturday, March 19: U-19 FL Division 1A v Cremartin (Away) at 5pm

Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 4, 13, 15 and 24. Jackpot of €2,000 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Ann Horgan c/o Matt McCaughey; Eileen McElvaney c/o herself; Faela McDonnell c/o ClubZap; and Cathal Grant c/o ClubZap. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Matt McCaughey. Jackpot for Sunday, March 20 is €2,100. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

Reserves: We began the RFL Division 1A with a hard-earned win away to Truagh last Saturday. Some free-flowing football in the first half saw Dean Doherty, Lochlainn Power, Niall Greenan, Evan Doherty and Daragh Croarkin all get on the scoresheet, but we had to settle for going in on level terms at half-time: 0-6 each. Conditions took a real turn for the worse for the second half, but a well-worked goal by Luke McManus earned us a narrow lead that we managed to maintain. Some determined defending and a well-taken free by Conor McCrystal saw us over the line by the narrowest of margins (1-7 to 0-9). We wish Lochlainn Power a speedy recovery from the injury he suffered in the latter stages of Saturday's game.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin (0-1f); Jake McConnon, Kevin Moran, Jamie Shields; Oisín Fagan, Conor McCrystal (0-1f), Nathan Lavery; Tiarnán O'Rourke, Lochlainn Power (0-1); Shea Swift, Liam Conway, Niall Greenan (Capt., 0-1); Luke McManus (1-0), Evan Doherty (0-1), Dean Doherty (0-2).

Subs used: Gary White; Niall Hahessy; Luke Coyle; John Mulligan.

St. Patrick's Day: We will meet at the clubhouse on St. Patrick's Day at 2.15pm and then walk up to our starting point in the parade. The theme this year is 'Brighter Days Together', so feel free to be artistic with face paint or hats etc., but most importantly wear your club colours. We don't know what the weather will be like, but kids should wear plenty of layers to keep warm. We will bring the kids back to the clubhouse after the parade for refreshments. We would be very grateful if parents could contribute towards this by making sandwiches, buns or bringing other goodies for the party. It is planned to have some traditional Irish music after the parade in the clubhouse, so everyone is welcome to join us. Any help on the day would be very much appreciated.

Ahead of St. Patrick's Day, Monaghan GAA is calling on its young members to celebrate our national saint by acting in a responsible manner. Respect is a key value of the GAA and we trust our members to be considerate of our local communities. Enjoy your day responsibly

Upcoming club events: We will be hosting a championship preview night in the Hillgrove Hotel on Saturday, April 9, where we look forward to welcoming some high-profile guests! Our juvenile presentation night will take place on April 12. Please try to keep these dates free and support these club events! Keep an eye on club notes and social media for more details.
