Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 9, 22, 25 and 30. Jackpot of €3,200 not won. This week's four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Ryan Treanor c/o Séamus Treanor; Maggie Clerkin c/o Séamus Treanor; Michael O'Brien c/o Marian O'Brien; and Séamus Treanor c/o himself. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Paddy Donnelly. Jackpot for Sunday, March 9 is €3,300.

Thanks to everyone for continuing to support our Lotto and to the committee and the regular helpers for their efforts in keeping the show on the road and providing essential funding towards our development work over the last three decades. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

 

Sports predictions competition: Our senior footballers have organised a sports predictions competition where entrants are required to forecast the outcome of a number of sports competitions. Why not test yourself with a prize of €500 up for grabs!

Monaghan Harps Sports Predictions 2025


Meeting: The club's monthly meeting for March takes place tonight (Thursday) in the clubhouse at 8pm.

 

League start dates: The Intermediate Football League is due to start on Sunday, April 13. The Reserve Football Leagues are scheduled to get underway on St. Patrick's weekend as we host Corduff in Division 1B.

 

Arch Club: We are hosting Monaghan Arch Club in the clubhouse next Thursday, March 13. We ask club members to please keep this date free if possible.

 

Clubhouse: Our clubhouse was full twice last weekend, firstly on Friday night for our Hurling Club's table quiz. Thanks to everyone who attended and well done to quiz-master Brian Clerkin and the organisers. We also hosted a big crowd of all ages on Sunday night to support Kayleigh Trappe in RTÉ's Dancing with the Stars. GRMA to everyone involved. 

 

Coaching: We will host a coach induction evening in the clubhouse tomorrow (Friday) from 7pm. As teams prepare for their respective seasons, we will use Friday as an opportunity to meet all the new coaches, some of whom are new into the club. This will include a workshop on Gaelic Football's new rule enhancements, provided by Ulster GAA, from 7.30pm.

 

Church-gate collection: Our church-gate collection takes place this weekend. All support would be greatly appreciated.

 

Clothing drive: Our Hurling Club's annual clothing drive wrapped up last Saturday. Thanks to everyone involved.

 

Club Draw: The GAA's National Club Draw is back for 2025, offering great prizes. This is a valuable fundraiser for the club; all support would be appreciated. Please return all tickets by the first week of March.

 

Upcoming events: We also have information nights coming up towards the end of this month re: coach induction, strength and conditioning and refereeing. Please check online to confirm dates. Our Hurling Club have a table quiz planned for Friday, February 28. We are hosting Monaghan Arch Club on Thursday, March 13.

 

Registration: Thanks to everyone who has renewed their membership for 2025 so far: your continued support is appreciated. GRMA to our registrar Claire Ní Dhufaigh for her efforts. Please ensure that fees are paid by the end of March. Míle buíochas.
