Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 9, 10, 13 and 21. Jackpot of €1,300 not won. This week's four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Sharon Hanley c/o Fiona Sherry; Eugene Greenan c/o Séamus Treanor; Ronan Lynch c/o Jimmy Croarkin; and Aoife Finlay c/o Joe Finlay (Hurling Club). The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Barry Sullivan. Jackpot for Sunday, March 12 is €1,400. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club and is funding our current development works. Scór: Good luck to our representatives of our football and hurling clubs in the Tráth na gCeist tomorrow evening (Friday) at the Acorn Centre, Newbliss. St. Patrick's Day: We are looking for some volunteers to assist with stewarding at the St. Patrick's Day parade in town. If you are available to help out on the day, please let our club secretary Brenda know.

 

Ladies' Club table quiz: Monaghan Harps Ladies Club host a fundraising table quiz on Friday, March 24, in our clubhouse. All support greatly appreciated; looking forward to seeing you all there!

 

Church-gate collection: Our church-gate collection takes place this weekend. Please let Julie Brannigan (087 9574892) or Rose Donnelly know if you are available to help out. Your support is very much appreciated.

 

Safeguarding: We are hosting a Safeguarding 1 workshop in our clubhouse on Saturday, March 25, from 10am to 1pm. Please contact our Children's Officer Eimear McKenna (085 8588648) if you wish to attend.

 

Arch Club: Monaghan Arch Club will return to Gavan Duffy Park next Thursday (March 16). All help from club members would be greatly appreciated.

 

Online club shop: Our online PlayrFit club shop has reopened until midnight on March 26 at Monaghan Harps GAA - PLAYR-FIT - Ireland & UK

 

IFL: The Intermediate Football League is due to start on Saturday, April 15.

 

Reserves: The Reserve Football Leagues are scheduled to get underway on Saturday week, March 18, when we host Donaghmoyne in Division 1A at 5pm. Our Division 3B campaign starts on April 1.

 

Health and well-being activities: Monaghan Sports Partnership have kindly funded some additional health and well-being activities for the club. We are currently hosting a range of activities. Booking is essential as places are limited and some classes are already full. Pilates and Mindfulness are adult-only. Walking Wednesdays: Our Ireland Lights Up walks have concluded for 2023. Thanks to our regular attendees and organisers. As part of our enhanced health & well-being activities in conjunction with Monaghan Sports Partnership, we are continuing our Walking Wednesday programme for an extra six weeks. All welcome!

 

Registration: Thanks to everyone who has renewed their membership for 2023 so far: your continued support is appreciated. GRMA to our registrar Kevin Treanor for his efforts. It is essential that all players are registered in advance of training commencing. Please avail of this opportunity to register for the year ahead. Míle buíochas.

 

County: Good luck to all county teams in action this weekend. We are due to host Monaghan's Ulster Minor Football League game v Armagh on Saturday at 12 noon. All help from club members would be appreciated. 

 

Sympathy: At last week's monthly meeting, the club passed votes of sympathy to the families of Hugh Treanor and Jean Graham. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.

 

Coaching: Monaghan Coaching & Games Development have planned some very useful workshops over the month of March. See online for more details.

 

DIL: Darkness Into Light returns to Monaghan Town in the early hours of May 6, with registration now open. The 2023 launch for both Cavan and Monaghan will take place in the Kilmore Hotel, Cavan Town, on Wednesday, April 4.

 

Ranganna Gaeilge: Tá Seachtain na Gaeilge faoi lán seoil anois. Muineachán Le Gaeilge are currently offering Irish-language classes. See the Muineachán Le Gaeilge social media pages for more details.

 

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club.
