Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 8, 11, 24 and 30. Jackpot of €4,200 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Ben O'Sullivan c/o Eileen McElvaney (Ladies' Club); Martin Treacy c/o Barry Sullivan; Brendan McMahon c/o Séamus Treanor; and Patrick Meehan c/o Barry Sullivan. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Barry Sullivan. Jackpot for Sunday, November 20 is €4,300. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

 

AGM: Our Annual General Meeting takes place in our clubhouse on Wednesday week, November 30, at 7.30pm. Please return completed nomination forms to our secretary Nicola Shalvey by 9pm this Sunday, November 20. Paid-up members can submit nomination forms via email to Secretary.monaghanharps.monaghan@gaa.ie or by leaving them in the letterbox at the Harps.

 

Juvenile AGM: Our juvenile committee's AGM took place last Wednesday night. Seán McKenna welcomed everyone to the meeting, before Sharon McCaffrey presented a comprehensive secretary's report covering the events on and off the pitch during the year. Team reports were delivered by various team mentors, including Brian Lenehan; Martin Sheridan; Kieran O'Reilly; Mícheál Mac Airt; and Peter Coyle, while Úna Forde gave a run-down of the Saturday-morning coaching sessions. Thanks to our juvenile committee, led by chairperson Seán McKenna and secretary Sharon McCaffrey, for their efforts throughout the year. GRMA also to all our coaches, players and parents for ensuring that our club competed in every available competition and to everyone who has supported our vital fundraisers and weekly lotto.

 

Culture night: After a very successful year in Scór competitions for our adult and juvenile competitors, our Cultural committee have prepared a culture night to showcase our singing, dancing, musical and novelty acts. This will take place in our clubhouse on Sunday evening (November 20) from 6 to 9pm. Donations to MS Ireland are welcome on the night, MS charity Christmas cards will be on sale. GRMA. All welcome for what promises to be a great evening of ceol agus craic.

 

Movember: Several club members have signed up to take part in the Movember championship, where Monaghan GAA have joined forces with the local Crocus Men's Den to raise funds for Crocus Cancer Support Centre and awareness of Men's Health. All contributions to Crocus would be greatly appreciated and please cite Monaghan Harps when you complete your donation. See our social media for the link.

 

Schools: While the 2022 club season has wrapped up at all levels, we wish good luck to all our young players currently representing the club in schools' and third-level competitions. Thanks to the club members who prepared Gavan Duffy Park to host St. Macartan's College's MacRory Cup opener last Saturday.


Online club shop: Our online PlayrFit club shop closed last Sunday. Thanks to Mary White for co-ordinating.

 

Clubhouse: We are looking to recruit new bar staff for the clubhouse (must be over 18, preferably with experience). If interested, please contact Damien Morgan (086 8614730) or Úna Forde (087 6107329).

 

Handball: Good luck to Eoghan McGinnity in the County Senior 4-Wall Handball Final in Corduff this Sunday. A live stream of the finals will be available to view on the Monaghan GAA Facebook page.

 

Pitch development: Our development is moving along steadily. Many thanks to everyone who contributes to our lotto on a weekly basis, which has made this possible. To develop our pitches, access and look at floodlit facilities for the future, please help our club's growth financially through buying the lotto each week on the ClubZap app or from our many sellers.

 

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club.
