IFC: Hard luck to our senior team who fell short in last Sunday's Intermediate Football Championship semi-final against Killanny in Inniskeen. Five points from Neil McAdam and one each by Conor McCrystal and Luke McManus kept us in touch during a tight first half that ended with Killanny leading by 1-6 to 0-7. We made a flying start to the second half with points by Michael Galligan, Gary Devlin and Conor, but Killanny hit the net from a penalty to leave us facing an uphill task. Our lads kept plugging away, with scores from Seán Callan, Daragh Croarkin, Michael and Neil bringing us back within a goal, but Killanny held on to win by 2-11 to 0-14. Well done to Fionán Ó Gallchóir on making his debut after working his way back from injury.

Thanks to the players and management (Glen O'Reilly, Adrian Gunn, Jack Brogan) and everyone involved in turning our season around after a difficult start to the year, including Gary White and Nicholas Scott for their efforts. Well done in particular to Glen for stepping in back in May and for steering us to the championship semi-finals.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin (0-1); Gary Devlin (0-1), Aodhán Óg McAnespie (Capt.), Jake McConnon; Kevin Moran, Kevin Loughran, Tiarnán O'Rourke; Dylan McKenna, Neil McAdam (0-6, 3f); Seán Callan (0-1), Lochlainn Power, Michael McMorrow; Michael Galligan (0-2, 1f), Conor McCrystal (0-2), Luke McManus (0-1).

Subs used: Nicholas Scott; Liam Hahessy; Shane McMahon; Fionán Ó Gallchóir.

Ladies: Hard luck to our U-14 girls in last Saturday's Championship Final. Well done on winning the league and reaching another final.

Scór: We are delighted to have Eoin Mac Cléire representing club and county in recitation in this Saturday's Ulster Scór Sinsir Final at Omagh St. Enda's. On behalf of Monaghan Harps, we want to wish him all the best! See online for ticket details.

Juvenile Presentation: We are hosting an end-of-year presentation evening for our juveniles this evening (Friday) at 6pm in the clubhouse, with POTY and Most Improved Player awards for each age-group. County minor manager Dermot Malone will be presenting the awards and will give some words of advice to any of our young players hoping to wear the Monaghan jersey in the coming years.

Volunteer Appreciation Night: At the heart of every GAA club around the country are its volunteers, our club is no different. From match-day stewards, coaches, groundskeepers, ticket sellers; the list is endless and we want to show our appreciation to all of these men and women. Tonight from 7.45, we are hosting a volunteer appreciation night in the clubhouse. We have live music organised and the rugby semi-final will be on the tv. Refreshments will be served.

Cumann na mBunscol: Please note that the Cumann na mBunscol boys' finals scheduled for Saturday morning have been postponed due to the inclement weather.
