Minors: Best wishes to our minor Division One team in the championship final against Scotstown in Clones this Sunday at 12.30pm (please note the earlier throw-in time). It would be great to see a strong Harps support to get behind the lads. Thanks to our club members who have flown the green and white flags and banners around the town. Best of luck to our players and their coaches: Adrian, James, Fintan, Dermot, James and Mark.
IFC: We finished our IFC campaign with a loss to Clones in windy conditions in Threemilehouse last Sunday, although wins in our previous two games were enough to keep us in the Intermediate ranks for next year. An early goal from Kevin Loughran got us off to a flying start, but a Dean Doherty point was our only other score of the first half, which ended with Clones leading by 0-7 to 1-1. Neil McAdam landed a couple of fine points during the second half, while Lochlainn Power was also on target, but Clones stayed clear to win by 0-12 to 1-4. Neil captained the team on the day as he unfortunately prepares to hang up the boots after more than two decades of service to our senior team. Neil has been a brilliant representative of the Harps, at club and county level, as well as being a great role model for our younger players. We wish him and his family all the best for the future. Thanks to our players and management of Glen, Barry, Darren, Jack and Colm for their efforts throughout this year.
