Jackpot for Sunday, October 9 is €3,700. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

Seniors: We have a must-win IFC game against Tyholland in Scotstown this Sunday at 1pm. All support would be appreciated.

Fun Day: Thanks so much to everyone for coming along and making Saturday's Fun Day so enjoyable. A special thanks to our coaches for their commitment all season; we could not have done it without all the help that we get from those who volunteer their time to the Saturday-morning sessions. Thanks to all the parents for coming along and encouraging your children to play GAA. Enjoy your Saturday morning "lie-ins" and Úna will keep you posted when the half-zips/sweaters arrive.

Coffee morning: Following on from our successful men's health night in June, Monaghan Harps Healthy Club committee, in conjunction with Crocus and Monaghan Co Council, have designed posters with useful local and national helplines. We will be launching the posters at a coffee morning in the clubhouse next Thursday, October 13 at 11am as part of world mental health day/week. All welcome.

Gavan Duffy Park: Thanks to all the club members who helped us host the Ladies' JFC Final between Castleblayney and Tyholland last Saturday. All help would again be appreciated this Sunday as we host the U-15 HC Final between Castleblayney and Clontibret. Throw-in is at 11am.

Scór: Well done to our Scór Sinsir representatives in the Ulster semi-finals in Stradone, Co Cavan last Saturday. Comhghairdeas to our ballad group, who progress to the Ulster final on Saturday, October 15 in Galbally, Co Tyrone.

Pitch development: Our development is moving along nicely. Many thanks to everyone who contributes to our lotto on a weekly basis, which has made this possible. To develop our pitches, access and look at floodlit facilities for the future, please help our club's growth financially through buying the lotto each week on the ClubZap app or from our many sellers.

Minor: Our U-17 Division One team exited the championship with a semi-final defeat away to Carrickmacross last Saturday. Despite the lads' best efforts in slippy conditions, we simply never got going in attack. Some disciplined defending kept us in touch at half-time, at which stage we trailed by 0-6 to 0-2, with our points coming from John McCrystal and Fionán Ó Gallchóir. We had lots of possession during the second half, but we were unable to convert it, with our only score coming when a shot at goal by John was tipped over the bar at point-blank range by the Carrick keeper. Carrick hit the only goal of the game at the end of a goalmouth scramble to put the game beyond our reach. The performance wasn't reflective of this group's efforts throughout this year; thanks to the players and everyone involved.

Team and scorers: Oisín Reilly; Ethan McCaffrey, Shane Moran, Max Mallen; Ali Galligan, Mark Clerkin, Jack Lynch; Senan Cudden (Capt.), Mark Lynch; Dara Mullin, Cian Bradley, Dónal Moran; Fionán Ó Gallchóir (0-1f), Eoin O'Hanlon, John McCrystal (0-2).

Sub used: Shea Corrigan.

There was better news at the same venue on Sunday as our Division 3B team qualified for their second final of the year. Scores from John McCrystal, Shea Corrigan and Eoin Sheridan had us 0-7 to 0-5 up at the end of a tight first half, before the game opened up in the second half. John, Shea and Eoin         all added to their tallies, while Dara Mullin and Oisín Reilly were also on target and our subs also made an important contribution as we held off a stern challenge from Carrick to claim a hard-earned win on a scoreline of 4-17 to 2-14.

Team and scorers: Oisín McGeown; Diarmuid McGinnity, Ali Galligan; Shea Corrigan (0-3), Kyle Cooney, Fergal Magee; Jack Kierans, Max Mallen (Capt.); Julian Coyle, Eoin Sheridan (0-3), Dara Mullin (2-2, 1-0 pen); John McCrystal (1-9, 0-3f), Oisín Reilly (1-0).

Subs used: Mark Lynch; Shay Lambe; Dónal Moran; Shane McGarry; John Sherry.

We meet Scotstown once again in the Division 3B championship final this Sunday at 4pm in Threemilehouse. All support would be appreciated for the last game of our juvenile season.

County: Good luck to Adrian Gunn, who has been named as part of the county's minor football management team for 2023.

Ladies: Well done to the Harps' U-12 girls on their final win over Corduff last Sunday. Best wishes also to our U-14 girls, who saw off Inniskeen in the Frank Casey Shield semi-final to set up a meeting with Carrickmacross. Check online for fixture details.

Hurling: Good luck to our U-15 hurlers in the Division Two Final v Truagh in Emyvale on Monday at 7pm.

Club app: As well as offering an option to support our lotto, our new club app also has a function to pay your annual membership, make financial donations to the club, as well as a communication suite for all that goes on at the club. You can get involved by downloading 'ClubZap' on your phone and registering as a Monaghan Harps GAA Club member.
