Scór: We were delighted to enter all Scór Sinsir events last week, where the club enjoyed great success. Well done to Joe Ó Gallchóir, Eugene McGinnity, Adrian Trappe and Anthony Gorman, who finished second in last Thursday's table quiz in Truagh after a tie-breaker. We had a great night on Sunday in Corcaghan, where we entered a music group, ballad group, solo singer Helen McKenna and a novelty act. We are delighted that our ballad group, novelty group and music group all progress to the Ulster semi-finals in Stradone, Co Cavan on Saturday week (October 1). GRMA to Jackie Reilly, Niamh Coyle, Brian Harvey, Sadhbh Mc Cabe and all our competitors for their efforts. Ádh mór do gach duine in Ulster.

Seniors: We fell to a high-scoring defeat at home to Cremartin in the Intermediate Football Championship last Saturday. Our lads hit some fine scores in the first half through the likes of Éimhín Morahan, Michael Galligan, Neil McAdam, Tiarnán O'Rourke and Nathan Lavery, but every time we worked our way into contention, we were undone by a goal. Cremartin led by 4-7 to 0-11 at half-time, but a goal by Nathan and points from Éimhín, Kevin Moran and Luke McManus helped us close the gap after the restart. A Kevin Loughran penalty brought us within two points inside the last ten minutes, but Cremartin responded to secure the win on a scoreline of 4-16 to 2-18.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Dean Doherty, Nicholas Scott, Jake McConnon; Thomas Croarkin, Kevin Loughran (1-0, pen), Gary Devlin; Tiarnán O'Rourke (0-1), Kevin Moran (0-1); Éimhín Morahan (0-10, 5f), Aodhán Óg McAnespie (Capt.), Nathan Lavery (1-1); Michael Galligan (0-2, 1f), Neil McAdam (0-2, 1f), Luke McManus (0-1).

Subs: Liam Conway for T Croarkin (35 mins); Dylan McKenna for Moran (43); Oisín Fagan for McConnon (45); Lochlainn Power for McAnespie (53); Shane McMahon for Lavery (58).

We have another important game away to Doohamlet this Sunday at 1pm. Please support.

Pitch development: Monaghan Harps GAA Club is developing its grounds to improve how we serve the local community. Our second pitch is to be upgraded from a clay pitch to sand-based to allow trainings to continue even in the darker, wetter months. A third sand-based pitch to help accommodate the large and growing numbers in our club community. With football (ladies' & men's), hurling and handball, our club's facilities & coaches provide for so many in our community. To develop our pitches, access and look at floodlit facilities for the future, please help our club's growth financially through buying the lotto each week on the ClubZap app or from our many sellers.

Sympathy: Cumann Cláirsigh Mhuineacháin CLG would like to express our deepest sympathy to the McAnespie family on the death of John, father of Seán and grandfather of Aodhán Óg. We keep the family in our thoughts at this difficult time.

Minor: Our U-17 Division One team qualified for the championship semi-finals with a thrilling win over St. Patrick's in Drumhowan last Sunday. Goals by John McCrystal and Eoin O'Hanlon and points from Fionán Ó Gallchóir, Eoin, Senan Cudden and Cian Bradley helped us lead by 2-8 to 1-6 at the end of a strong first-half performance. St. Pat's battled back in the second half to force an exciting finish, but scores from Jack Lynch, Cian and Seán Callan and a late goal by John earned us the win we needed to advance from Group A on a scoreline of 3-13 to 3-11. We wish St. Pat's player Martin Quinn a speedy recovery from his injury.

Team and scorers: Oisín Reilly; Ali Galligan, Shane Moran, Max Mallen; Ethan McCaffrey, Mark Clerkin, Jack Lynch (0-1); Senan Cudden (Capt., 0-1), Seán Callan (0-1); Dara Mullin, Cian Bradley (0-4), Dónal Moran; Fionán Ó Gallchóir (0-5, 1f), Eoin O'Hanlon (1-1, 0-1f), John McCrystal (2-0).

Subs used: Shea Corrigan; Mark Lynch; Kyle Cooney.

We will be away to Carrickmacross in the semi-finals of the Division One and 3B championships, with both set for the first weekend of October.
