Monaghan Harps Lotto: The numbers for last Sunday's draw were 3, 17, 25 and 29. Jackpot of €3,500 not won. The four €40 lucky-dip prize winners were: Dick Rutledge c/o Paddy Donnelly; Mattie Bradley c/o Matt McCaughey; Eddie Coyle c/o Dermot Coyle; and Majella Treanor c/o Monica Connolly. The sellers' prize of €20 was won by Rose Hughes. Jackpot for Sunday, October 2 is €3,600. Thanks to everyone for their continued support for our lotto, which plays an integral part for the club. Please note that the cut-off point for ClubZap each week is 6pm on Sunday.

Fun Day: Our Saturday-morning coaching for our youngest juveniles draws to a close for 2022 with the return of the fun day and sponsored walk this Saturday (October 1) from 10am. All support would be appreciated on the morning. Please ensure all sponsorship cards are returned to Úna as soon as possible.

Gavan Duffy Park: Thanks to all the club members who helped us host the U-15 FC Division Two Final between Seán McDermotts and Truagh last Sunday. All help would again be appreciated this Saturday as we host the Ladies' JFC Final between Castleblayney and Tyholland. Throw-in is at 3pm.

Scór: Good luck to our Scór Sinsir representatives in the Ulster semi-finals in Stradone, Co Cavan this Saturday at 6pm. Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh!

Seniors: We lost away to Doohamlet in the Intermediate Football Championship last Sunday. Doohamlet adapted quicker to the tricky conditions as they built up a five-point lead, but scores from of Éimhín Morahan, Michael Galligan, Neil McAdam and Gary Devlin kept us in touch, before Éimhín found the net to close the gap to a single point at 1-6 to 1-5. Our lads were unable to convert possession into scores playing into the breeze in the second half and although a late burst brought us back within two, Doohamlet responded with the last three points to win by 1-13 to 1-8.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Dean Doherty, Lochlainn Power, Nicholas Scott; Aodhán Óg McAnespie (Capt.), Kevin Loughran, Nathan Lavery; Tiarnán O'Rourke, Neil McAdam (0-1); Thomas Croarkin, Éimhín Morahan (1-2, 0-1f), Gary Devlin (0-1); Michael Galligan (0-4, 3f), Dylan McKenna, Luke McManus.

Subs: Conor McCrystal for McManus (34 mins); Kevin Moran for Lavery (44); Jake McConnon for Galligan (58); Liam Conway for Devlin (60).

It leaves us facing a must-win game against Tyholland the weekend after next. Full details TBC.

Pitch development: Monaghan Harps GAA Club is developing its grounds to improve how we serve the local community. Our second pitch is to be upgraded from a clay pitch to sand-based to allow trainings to continue even in the darker, wetter months. A third sand-based pitch to help accommodate the large and growing numbers in our club community. With football (ladies' & men's), hurling and handball, our club's facilities & coaches provide for so many in our community. To develop our pitches, access and look at floodlit facilities for the future, please help our club's growth financially through buying the lotto each week on the ClubZap app or from our many sellers.

Minor: Our U-17 teams both have championship semi-finals away to Carrickmacross this weekend. First up is the Division One game on Saturday at 12 noon, before our Division 3B side return to Emmet Park for a 5pm throw-in on Sunday.

U-15: Our U-15 Division 5A team lost out to Clontibret in their championship final in Castleblayney last Friday evening. In an even first half where points by Kyle Lavery, Luke Swift, Conor Farmer, Daniel Alexis and Deagan Doherty had our lads level 20 minutes in, Clontibret hit the last four scores to build up a 1-6 to 0-5 lead. Our lads weren't able to stay in touch in the second half, however, as Clontibret's knack for goals at key times saw the game drift away from us. This team competed well in the championship, having been promoted after their Division 5B league win in August. Thanks to Martin Sheridan, Val Forde, Dessie McGarry, Nicholas Scott, Brenda McConnon and Daragh Croarkin for their efforts with our U-15s this year.

Panel and scorers: Alex Flynn; Daniel Aughey, Joe Gunn (Capt.); Ryan Grant (0-1f), Daniel Alexis (0-1), Adam Richardson; Conor Farmer (0-1f), Kyle Lavery (0-2, 1f); Deagan Doherty (0-1), Oisín Brannigan, Luke Swift (0-1); Winston Onkeweke, Ruairí Smyth, Robert Uskans, Joseph O'Neill, James Cunningham, Daithí Devlin, Caolán Conlon, Jake Cassidy.

U-11: Our U-11s took on Carrickmacross in the last round of the Liam Stirrat Development League last Saturday morning. Well done to the players and coaches for their efforts throughout the year.

Community Games: Well done to the Monaghan Town U-10 Community Games Gaelic Football team who competed in the All-Ireland finals in Limerick last weekend. The lads started with a win over Ballincollig from Cork, before falling just short with a second-half comeback against Leitrim's Ballinamore, to claim silver medals. Well done to the players and coaches.

County: Good luck to Adrian Gunn, who has been named as part of the county's minor football management team for 2023.

Coffee morning: Our health & wellbeing committee are planning to host a coffee morning in the clubhouse on Thursday, October 13 as part of World Mental Health Day/Week. More details to follow.
